See, Scrooged is exactly the sort of film that DOESN’T need a reboot, imo. It pretty much stands up now just as well as it always did. Give it a brand spanking new 4k HDR remaster from the original film stock or something and you’ll have my interest. Having a sub-standard reboot (I’m looking at you, A-Team, Charlie’s

Sorry, the best Christmas Carol of all time is the 1999s version with Patrick Stewarts.

Arguing otherwise is futile.

This is good news. A series of this calibre can only go on for so long before its writing becomes stale and its best writers go off to do other things. It does sound like this is designed to make the best possible series and I for one welcome the news.

I’m so glad RTD didn’t use in for “Children of Earth,” because its ending was just brilliant.  To say exactly why risks spoilers, but damn, what a punch in the face.

‘Children of Earth’ was a really great, tragic story. One of RTD’s very best.

You can also see the gestation of the idea in the Doctor Who episode “Turn Left”: due to a series of disasters (that had previously been prevented by the Doctor), Britain turns into a fascist state, all told through the point of view of Donna Noble and her grandfather. It’s fascinating and chilling.

Cheeto, you do you buddy. Keep living that snack life.

Can we please stop making gleefully evil villains misunderstood good guys and let them be evil and fabulous in peace? thank you for coming to my TEDtalk.

This looks more like a remake of “The Wicker Man” than the remake of “The Wicker Man”.

Not a movie, but a series of shorts (around ten minutes each) worth watching is “The Kirlian Frequency” on Netflix:

Though it’s firmly a comedy-horror, how could you forget this classic scene? I still can’t listen to it without wanting to pick up a pool cue/fire extinguisher.

For the record, I love this show, but honestly, it’s beyond time for Jensen Ackles to be set free. Dude is way too talented to just linger on the CW forever. Toss him into the MCU. Make him Moon Knight or something. He’d be great.

Why are all the comments here indifferent or hateful? Let us rejoice!

I think that intellectually I still knew that Saturday morning kids’ shows were still a thing, but it’s been so long since I watched live TV that it was genuinely heart warming to hear the “Saturday at 8" bit.

It would be nice to see how the Morphin Grid factors into this season. I don’t think it’s gotten any development outside of RPM.

I think that while we’re all bitching about having to sign up for stupid streaming platforms for the sake of watching one damn show, it’s a good time to remind everyone that your local public library will often carry DVDs of popular titles, including TV shows. Yes, you have to wait until it comes out on DVD, but if

Aleady seen it - Spoiler alert: once again, there is hardly any - if at all - dragon training. The whole franchise sits on a throne of lies!

I have a real love-hate relationship with The Boys, interesting concept but Garth Ennis was allowed to be well, too Garth Ennis in it’s execution. I enjoy his work but he has some real authorial tics that need to be reined in for his work to be at it’s best. Hitman is one of my all time favorite comics, (Featuring one

Only complaint of first season was it felt too short. Hoping second is longer.

More people need to read Atomic Robo. Like, all the people.
