Obligatory:

Now playing

There was also an awful/awesome Crash Test Dummies song.

Past might be really nice, but current could spin an interesting Captain Britain and MI13 angle. Give me Faiza Hussain, Pete Wisdom and Meggan, and it gets all my cash money. (I know, Pete’s a mutant, not gonna happen, but a girl can dream.)

Counterpoint: the fact that a relationship with a friend could help someone kick a heroin habit, and the commitment of said friend, is a good thing.

The first Captain America is probably my favorite superhero movie too, for the sole reason that the main character doesn’t need to be taught to do the right thing. Right from the top, he’s there doing the right thing, at great personal cost.

Loved those books. Rigg’s use of non-altered, obscure, historic photos to illustrate the books (and really inspire the story) was the kind of thing that you could only do that effectively in the pages of a book.

I’m Greek. What all these movies get wrong is:

EK Weaver alone is tempting me to back the project; her comic ‘The Less Than Epic Adventures of TJ and Amal’ was a fantastic balance of sexy / funny / serious, and the print editions of all the volumes (and omnibus) adorn my bookshelf with pride.

I’m arguing that people have a right to enjoy whatever the hell they want, no matter how goofy it may seem to other people. I don’t like Star Wars, but I didn’t shit on everyone who excitedly rushed to the theatre last weekend.

So the people who like what you don’t like are stupid & wrong?

What?!? No one remembers “Night of the Meek”? One of The Twilight Zone’s greatest episodes with Art Carney playing Santa...

The show Eureka had two Christmas episodes where a character named Dr. Noah Drummer, played by Chris Parnell, was apparently Santa Claus: “O Little Town” and “Do You See What I See.”

The good, old Count himself. And this goes for all the versions. We don’t need an origin where he lost is wife/love and cursed God and God cursed him back. (Man, that origin version is becoming a cliche at this point.) Or an origin where he was Judas and God cursed him for his betrayal of Jesus. Or an origin where he

While I did appreciate James Franco’s performance as a charming con man, I did not really think the Wicked Witch of the West needed the ‘naive girl has her heart broken’ twist.

Nope. Nope, nope, nope, nope, nope. Sometimes it’s perfectly acceptable to be just... evil, without a childhood trauma to try and round out a character that nobody asked to round out. Sadly, this has become a huge trend with Disney in recent years.

lovely, but i’m still waiting on WGN to do something scalped already. UGH. come on, guys!

Wow, this really opens up old wounds...

Interesting because the first thing I thought when I saw that stupid movie years ago was, “This looks a lot like some cheesy Cirque du Soleil thing.”

I’m assuming ‘Troll Hunter’ wasn’t counted as horror? Best found footage movie I’ve seen in ages.

Is it weird I’m annoyed at how everyone is so pretty? Like, what’s the bloody point of having such a cute Charles Henri-Sanson? Or such a hot phantom of the Opera? What is he conflicted about - his beautiful straight nose? His pouty, kissable lips? Surely some characters could be not so hot?
