I'm near the end of The Years of Rice and Salt right now, but I think it will be a long time before I can make myself read the Mars trilogy. KSR's writing style can be a lot to take in all at once.
Thanks!
What is that show?
There's lots of things that I haven't read or seen yet. It can be painful sometimes.
That reminds me, I should get around to reading Kurt Buziek's Marvels.
I am reminded of a joke Frankie Boyle did on Mock the Week: "As a vampire I can't stand direct sunlight, which is why I moved to Scotland. But now I can't find any virgins!"
In middle school our whole class watched that movie one year for whatever reason. I have nothing bad to say about it. Accept that I watched it without reading the book first, which is scarring (for me).
Marvel 1602 rocked. I loved how Peter Parquagh always almost gets bitten by a spider, but it doesn't happen until the very end of the story, but he's a useful character anyway.
