That’s also what irks me about a lot of top-tier racers. They’re always like, “Well I’ve been racing since I was 10 years old!” Oh, so your parents had access to expensive power-sports vehicles and track time and you put in your 10,000 hours before you were even 21 years old... okay, of course you’re a world champion.

So I kind of quit reading at “sold a very nice piece of property on Lake Michigan, quit my six figure tech job”. The common theme among these “common joes go racing” stories seem to be that they start with “already had a lot of money”. Which is basically how everybody else also starts to go racing.

Like, when is the last time you have seen a BlackBerry?

Not a fan of that particular rendition. I prefer it to look a bit more like the Mustang, something closer to this:

It’s what assholes call green beans.

So... this is the new Splinter News? Trying to beat Fox at their own game?

One day we’ll feel the same about RAUH Welts (if we don’t already).

They lack the added complication/expense of modern transmissions, are generally bulletproof, and offer the same efficiency in real world use.

Most of the 6+speed transmissioned vehicles I’ve driven could all do without the extra gears.

One thing about the FWD V8 put into these cars at this time - the LS4 - is how much it eventually revolutionized custom FWD builds for GM enthusiasts. Prior RWD LS layout utilized the GM “90 degree” RWD bell housing pattern, which made swapping to a FWD layout very difficult (i.e., Fiero V8 swaps that needed an

the weird thing is that the outlandish, risky designs like this are arguably the only way Cadillac could succeed and rebuild their brand in 2018.

I understand why they went alphanumeric - something about how it translates better in international markets. However I feel like they missed an opportunity to revive an older naming scheme which still fits that purpose, but sounds far better and more in line with Cadillac’s heritage.

Never liked his handling of Infiniti or trying to make Cadillac a NewYork Fashion brand and stupid things like this:

Not regardless youre trying to cast doubt on what she aacomplished today. Curious did you ask this about the miracle on the Hudson? Obviously not or youd already have your answer so I wonder what is different about those two pulots that makes you doubt her?

“so let’s just do some math”

Underrated design. The C4 was pretty innovative in ‘84 and still looks fresh 35 years later.

I think that’s the thing. The C4 might have been the weakest generation of Corvette, but there hasn’t really ever been a truly bad Corvette. Even the slow ones were a riot to drive.

Did you know that ‘67-’72 Suburbans only had three doors, one on the left side and two one the right?

A Code 130R with a V8? That would be a handful... though, I bet it’d be a hoot.
