The automated monitoring is exactly my point. Alarms should have automatically gone off when Maeve attempted what she did.

Fair point. But it would be a foolish and dangerous policy decision. And with all their technology, it would be so easy to have full time monitoring with warning alarms when any abberent behavior is detected on a host.
Totally agree about CC. But in fairness, the approval was for the exploding cigars, not the match.
And then you’ve got other guests around you, too. Imagine you’re a guest in WW and you’re trying to be immersive. And you’ve got a couple of a-holes in your group always talking about the robots and the outside world and totally breaking the immersiveness.
I agree with the others, No way to know if the reset is daily.
I just assumed the sky was artificial — as in Free Newman.
BTW, my GUESS about the Maze is that it’s a way Hosts can escape the game and enter the real world, posing as humans.
I’m thinking there’s a randomness to Hosts that develop sentience and the Ford and maybe Bernard are looking for evidence of that and when they see it, they nurture it and eventually get them into the…
I’m also really bothered at the apparent inconsistency of what the techs are and are not aware of about what the hosts and even guests are actually doing 100% of the time in WW.
What bothers me most ( and a LOT) about WW is that there are zero consequences for the guests. Would it REALLY be fun and addicting to play World of Warcraft or Call of Duty in God Mode all the time?
What makes those games fun is the sense of danger and consequences.
Wow! Every time an experimental SpaceX rocket failed to stick the landing Gizmodo called it a failure and pretty much dumped all over Musk.
You’re probably right, but I hate that society now seems to prefer to blame such tragedies on anyone other than the idiot who actually did it.
It’s that kind of thinking that is destroying our country — and the world. No one takes responsibility for their own decisions and actions anymore — it’s always someone else’s fault.
With no way to know who is a host and who is a guest, there’s an unlimited number of ways for guests to get hurt.
I also thought Wyatt’s band had to be guests.
I suspect the host that bashed his head was doing it to destroy the information that was in there. For some reason, the security guy said, “All we need is his head”. Then they host goes out of his way to destroy that very head.
Also, WHY would they need to cut the head off rather than just bring the whole host back?
I’m finding the show boring and full of contradictions and plot holes. I AM curious to see where it goes but I’m not enjoying the journey much at all.
No, because he’s HEALTHY and didn’t catch pneumonia.
Is it REALLY considered a JUMP if you land in a parachute? I mean how hard is that? I mean the most challenging part of a stunt jump is sticking the landing without breaking bones or dying.
It’s not her health that’s the problem. It’s that they’ve been hiding it. And lying about it. And, saying everyone who questioned it is either sexist or tin hat crazy.
How about the anguish at Romney’s 47% comment? Were they all wilting flowers, too?
