Reason enough to keep my Mark IV going. All tail lights are LED now.

I recall there was a show called “BJ and the Bear” about a trucker with a pet chimp. Ok, it was an era.

Agreed. Though I didn’t click on his video. I don’t want to give him what he craves - attention.  Carma has away -

I took the dogs for a walk in my neighborhood and was startled by a very clean and red 2nd generation Acura Integra. Not modified - incredible for SoCal. I learned that it belongs to a local elementary school teacher, who parks it there on account that school is just around the corner.

Which one do you use first? I am impressed. I have not yet figured out how to use two separate torque wrenches to tighten one wheel.

Just a matter of priorities. She has a lifetime to figure that out.

It is just nice to see a plain BMW. I hate the fact that BMW USA designates sunroofs on all their vehicles. This vehicle is very representative to what you would see in Europe. It may be old, but I rather be driving this than the latest Civic, Versa, etc. Plus, having owned a 318Ti, I already have the Bentley manual!

Agree. The last I saw something like this on Jalopnik was a teenager ramming Mom’s Porsche Cayenne into the garage as the wrong angle in Vancouver. The repeated bashing into the garage doorway had to be due to testosterone poisoning - a common ailment in teenage boys who take out the family care while the parent is

Local Bike Shops (LBS) can build custom wheels and make sure your bike works the way it should. Competent bicycle mechanics have saved my ride more than once. I don’t recall auto dealership offering to swap parts out to make your ride fit you the way it should.

I had the same vintage car though in black with black interior. Without A/C it was a challenge to drive in Florida. Even in the early 1980's, you didn’t see many of of these cars. Before the internet, I recall sending away for a catalogue from an outfit called Bayless. That is where I first saw the initial version

Ouch! Money buys you choice! Consider that my budget only allows for a GTI which comes with a choice of 4 (FOUR) colors! Amongst them is Black and White; though silver is not available. (I hear in Canada they have a lot more freedom of choice.)

I would have a look underneath. Though anyone who presents a car this way for $2K should not have it buried. Perhaps the kid just want’s credit for trying to sell it while doing the best to make look like rust bucket - “No Mom, I don’t know why it hasn’t sold yet.”

I got to wonder what kind of bike or car that was, though $8,000 is reasonable for a bike. I have ridden a number of bikes that cost as much at Interbike (industry event held in Las Vegas.) It just depends if you have the skills, lungs, legs and/or wallet to make it happen.

When headlight morphs into “headlight assembly”, you can just add an extra digit to the price.

This could have ended much worse for all involved. The car should have had a partition. About 20 years ago a FL trooper near Tampa was killed by a prisoner who had a handcuff key hidden in his mouth. The guy always carried the key on a chain, so when arrested it was already hidden. Though not sure about the partition

Sad. I couldn’t even configure a manual version on TrueCar.

Hell no. If you have the money for this car, I am pretty sure you want it exactly as you like. You will always know that you could have had 14 speakers but no - you had to settle.

On the sales comment.... So glad I got rid of my HD stock a long time ago.

“I pay x in taxes...” = tragedy of commons, sort of like... “You are not using your watershed, so I see no reason I can’t destroy it.”

Couldn’t agree anymore! I learned at 13 on a hand me down Vespa, though everything via hand controls.
