No. Amazingly it was never sold here in the US. The Pontiac GTO that was sold here I’m told was great fun but didn’t really sell that well.

That wasn’t built by GM though. That was AM General. The Civilian versions were sold through the Hummer dealers though, so I see your point.

The only one on that list that makes me sad is Saab. The rest deserved the shallow grave at the end. They were all just badge engineered crap that wished it could badge engineered like Saab did. Saab at least attempted to make the POS cars they were saddled with as good as they could be. This wasn’t always a success

Look to Rome. The US are on the precipice of changing from a “republic” to autocracy as happened under Augustus. The problem being that instead of having an Augustus who played the Republican in public but was in charge of everything that went on, we have a Nero who pretty much doesn’t give a fuck and will burn it all

One of the few times I’m happy I’m broke.

That’s a setting in the stereo. There’s a startup maximum volume that you can set. It’s basically there so you don’t blow your eardrums out if you’ve had it loud and forget to turn it back down when you leave the car.

The fact that the steering wheel controls don’t work unless the car is in the on position is another one of those “How did you miss this?!” things as well.

I hate this on my JSW. It has steering wheel controls but they don’t work when the car is off or in accessory so you have to use the knob in those situations and the fact that the center isn’t stationary drives me up the wall.

Sorry for that. I’ve heard that crap way to many times from people being serious, so I completely missed that it could be joking.

Are you suggesting reeducation or removal from the gene pool. Because I could be persuaded to do some chlorination.

This. I had one cool gym teacher (including a couple college gym classes that were required for some reason) but he was hopped up on pain killers due to being run over on the sidelines of a football game. He ended up with a bunch of hairline fractures in his spine and all they could do was manage the pain.

You’re missing the part where not everyone want’s an American Pony car. The Mustang could be the fastest, best-handling car on earth and I still would still rather have the Supra, which is still behind other cars on the list.

I don’t think that’s Toyota’s thinking. I’m pretty sure they don’t care because enthusiasts haven’t really done a thing for them in their history in the US. Sure they made some fun enthusiast cars, but the focus was and will always be the mass market.

I’d argue at this point it isn’t even about engagement. It’s become a dick waiving contest.

But almost all modern automatics allow you to change your own gears. There’s just no clutch.

With the exception of a Hewland transaxle in a race car the ZF 8-speed is by far the best transmission I’ve ever used. Mine was in a 2012 550i xDrive.

Ah yes the old “It’s not a manly enough car argument.” Grow the fuck up.

I kind of get where he’s coming from and am very fucking scared at the moment. I would much rather learn about badgers than do my actual job. Badgers are awesome.

I was going to say a waste of flesh and her mother should have swallowed, but I enjoy the innocence of “vile vomit garbage”.

I have no student loan debt, and never had any. I’m of the opinion that an educated populace is a requirement for a working society and that starting out in life with the basics to be productive in that society should not be putting people into debt for the privilege.
