Tom, thanks for posting this. You wrote almost exactly what I was thinking. Tavarish takes the position that any new car is a bad deal. So comparing the deal you get leasing a new car verses one that you found abandoned on the side of the road? Not exactly apples to apples.

I agree with you in principle are definitely exceptions. This morning I had to run my car for a good 10 minutes Before I was able to drive. The transmission fluid needed to warm up so that I could change gears.
