I feel you. My Sephora is 80% useless teens, and my Ulta is 80% grumpy, overworked 20-somethings. Like the one who “matched” me for foundation. And when their fancy gadget didn’t work she was like.. “This one’s close?” It was still several shades too dark. As if I’m going to just say “Oh yeah, it’s $50 and 4 shades

Wow that sucks! Yours must have been defective because I got that, too. I got mine in April and I’ve been sharpening them, and I’m still able to use them now.

I had that happen to me at Sephora last week, at checkout she asked “And did you get any samples today?” and I said “No, but I’m always excited to try new things.” And she gave me a sample of a nice face cream, she had a stack of them already made up under her register. Score!

Wow. Yeah, that’s gotta be an ebay reseller, right? Although, my sister’s boyfriend’s aunt is crazy rich and she actually does stuff like that for Christmas presents, like with nice, designer stuff, and then she gives it to everyone in her life. Last year she gave my sister a Coach purse filled with full size designer

Well, that made my morning :)

Oh my word. That’s crazy! Must have been a makeup artist, who else would need that much??

Totally! This month’s rewards are so good. The makeup forever hd powder is a 100 pt reward right now, and so is the Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer. The tinted moisturizer is way too dark for me but it’s still so nice, and they give you a healthy size for the reward.

Yeah, some things you can definitely save on. The elf hd powder has worked the same for me as the fancy makeup forever hd powder. It’s magical. No creases under my eyes, ever.

I’m on the light side, like 4 shades lighter and a totally different tone than most drugstore lines go (yellow, not pink). Really any shade that’s not within that light-to-tan scale that most companies make, you’re out of luck. I imagine people with olive or reddish tones probably have trouble, too. And it’s stupid,

Welcome to the dark side!

Santa!!! That’s priceless. When I was in elementary school, a classmate’s grandfather was a professional Santa. He kept the beard year-round and he wore red a lot. Every time we saw him around town it was like..there’s Santa! He used to keep reese’s cups on him, and he would give them to little kids who recognized him

Flattery will get you everywhere ;)

Random question - did you do a training program to learn to be a dealer, or is that something they will train you to do on the job? There are a handful of casinos in my state now and I’ve always thought that would be a neat job.

I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately, because I went to grad school for one subject, then realized I didn’t want to go on and finish a phd and become a professor, so I just went with the first professional job that would take me, which happened to be in a field that I’d never even thought about before (real

omg why have I never thought of using a nude pencil as concealer before?! I am going to try that out asap!

You can use concealer without foundation, it just has to be a total match for your skin tone, and you have to remember to blend around the edges. If you want to see a pro do this, go to youtube and type in “Lisa Eldridge acne tutorial”. She is a freaking genius.

I bought the real techniques fluffy powder brush a few weeks ago and it is fantastic, and if I remember correctly it was under $10 at Ulta. It’s sooo fluffy. I would recommend any of the real techniques products. So far I have their blending sponge, pencil brush, a dome eye shadow brush, the powder brush and their

Omg I want this so bad. I can just not pay rent next month, right?

I agree completely. One thing I would add is don’t be afraid to mess up! The first time I made pot roast, it did not turn out. I ruined the poor thing. It was basically inedible (although my boyfriend did eat it, because he is like a garbage disposal). I was pretty upset since it was an expensive ingredient. But I

I am cracking up about the Bieber clapping thing. That’s hilarious. I think I officially like the kid.
