Only if she breaks the fourth wall like in the John Byrne series and fights the lamest villains Marvel has to offer.

So it’s basically going to be Wellington Paranormal: The Movie? Choice!

This is why The Daily Mail is the world’s biggest newspaper.

Yes, is it the fuckee or the fucker?

I did find it - it was first published in the late 70s and is still in print!

I’m happy for some types of show to run on indefinitely. I would have happily kept watching DS9 forever, for example. But TWD is the sort of show that feels like it should be building to something, like GOT, Breaking Bad or even Lost did, but it doesn’t.

One thing that’s been great in this golden age of television has been the many show that announce early that they’re going to run for a limited number of seasons. When the end is in sight, it’s easier to stick with your commitment to the show. I think that’s one reason I gave up on TWD.

Yep. Then it becomes the editor’s problem and THEY’RE the one who gets fired.

This headline reminded me that when I was a kid my older sister had a novel called Which Witch?, which was about some king of warlocks choosing a wife or something. I never actually read it myself, but since this has pulled it from the recesses of my brain 35 years later, I’m going to go googling for it.

Yeah, based on the trailer I feel this is going to fall into the same pit as Mortal Engines, Jupiter Ascending and Ender’s Game fell into.

Interesting comment about Tatum’s Instagram in the era of “influencers”. Yes, people liked your photo, but will they actually buy something based on it? Seems not.

I was big into C64 as a kid, desperately copying cassettes from friends trying to get as many games as I could. Yet I somehow only heard of Project Firestart about a year ago. I guess I should boot it up on an emulator.

At least they had an in-universe explanation for all the slow-mo shots in that one.

For some reason I read the headline and thought this was going to be about Dan Dare. No one wants to reboot Dan Dare?

I’m still waiting to see the Coen brothers do a full on musical. There have been enough musical sequences in their films that I feel like they secretly want to do one.

The worst decision in La La Land was to cast John Legend. Midway through the movie he shows up and I immediately thought “oh, that’s what an actual singer sounds like”. It just made all the other songs seem worse (even though we were supposed to think Legend’s ‘sellout jazz’ sucked!)

Morf Vanderwalt”? Isn’t that a Harry Potter villain?

He’s going to be Taken these roles Non-Stop until he’s totally old and Grey.

Was the graphic novel popular? Because the whole concept just seems bizarre. Though I’d probably watch a similar trilogy of movies called The Young Stephen King Chronicles, I must admit.

Press secretaries have become much more astute at managing the media. Here in Australia, we’ve got government ministers who simply refuse any interview requests they get from outlets that might ask them tough questions. Instead, they do interviews with friendly outlets knowing full well the other media will be forced
