Small nitpick, in that tweet you shared those are most certainly not tanks. Those are Paladins - self propelled artillery. Points to a different strategy, they wouldn't be storming across the border with those. Bombardment 30+ kilometers away? Absolutely.

That seems rather smart actually. I remember response times from Kiowas being easily twice as fast as Apaches and I'm sure the operating costs are exponentially lower than a dedicated attack bird. I didn't even notice the fenestron. I wonder what the price difference is with that version over a standard tail rotor...
