I don't think anything from Peanuts has made me laugh, think, or feel emotion (the triad of "stuff has to do at least one of these things to be good"). I don't hate it per se, it just never seemed all that remarkable. Granted, it's not a strip I grew up with, like Calvin and Hobbes, but even the cartoons that everyone

But seriously, Amethyst is going to have to have a serious talk with all of you.

What's more, the reviews STILL think this is season 1. Come on, AV Club! Get with it!

Hey, recent studies have shown that ritual sacrifice is a great way of bringing primitive societies together!

At first I was like, "Gee, that's a little mean…"
And then I realized, "No, that's just how a sensitive but very honest and pragmatic person would describe their feelings."

I nominate Studio Laika.

I had a sudden urge to look up a bunch of things related to him so I could be reminded of all the clever things he said.

I recall him saying the difference between his children's books and his adult books was that "one deals with lots of serious topics, and the other is for adults."

I was under the impression the horned helmets were worn for rituals.

Wha- That's not what I think! I'm being slandered! Help!

Oh! This was answered by Ryan North in an Unbeatable Squirrel Girl letters page:

With how many superhero stories have identity as a major element, a trans superhero could have some interesting story possibilities. After all, if you're going to create an alternate identity for yourself, you might as well make it the gender you see yourself as.
