If this sells, then you wouldn't be developing games for the vita, you'd be developing around the dualshock 3, which means it wouldn't make any sense to release just for the vita. Which means there's no real reason to develop specifically for the vita, but maybe greater incentive to make vita versions of your ps3

No they'd make vita versions of ps3 games, which is nice for many vita owners, but some want more, and some non owners need more of a reason to buy .

Then it probably wasn't the console for you to begin with. Same for the ds, the 3ds, and the wiiu.

Yea it took some time for the ds to come into it's own, and wasn't nintendo saying they weren't necessarily done with the gameboy? What if they released a gameboy that played ds cartridges? That's kind of it for the touch screen right?

That'd be true if the ps3 slim didn't play games with a dualshock 3. It'd be like nintendo releasing a new version of the wiiu that doesn't use a touch-screen, it's not really a wiiu is it? And if it sells well what do you think happens that old version with the touchscreen? I recommend you read a lot of my other

You're doubling the consumer base with a completely different console. A console that plays dualshock games. Which is nice, except why would a developer design a game around the dualshock but not release it on ps3? or even ps4? I can't imagine they would.

No, no it's not. Either you're blind or not very smart, either way it's not my job to help you so good luck figuring out why what you said is wrong.

No. There are already games on the vita that don't take advantage of it's touch or networking capability, many of these are great games and are great to play on the vita. These games are also available on other platforms and are not convincing people to buy a vita. It's getting support and it's still in sales limbo.

I care about touch screen control and multiplayer because I've paid a lot of attention to the games being released and I've thought a lot about the hardware. A vita is different from a ps3, so games designed around it would be different from games designed around the ps3. I care about whether they are ps3 ports,

You're kind of missing a point though. Yes for many the draw is as a media player that does games better, and as a remote player, but not only does it's remote play function lower incentive to buy the vita, it playing playstation vita games with a dualshock splits the vita's market. If it gets popular, if there are

The super game-boy released 4 years after the gameboy. The gameboy was already the gameboy. If this was releasing 4 years after the vita, if the vita had already established itself, fine, great even.

I care. The vita's different from the dualshock, so a game designed around the vita would be very different to a game designed around the ps3. Every game designed around the dualshock means that there will be no vita games going forward, just ps3 games with vita versions.

Many of it's capabilities are nice, and It'd be very nice if it released 1 1/2 maybe two years from now, but in it's current state it's a death sentence for the vita.

No it's not. A popular vita tv just means vita versions of ps3 games, which we'll already get. A popular vita tv means every vita game is designed around the dualshock.

I really recommend you read some more of my posts. My point is that the original promise the vita had, would be erased by the success of something like this. All games would be designed around the limitations of the vita tv, which means they would be designed around the dualshock, which basically means every vita game

I think your right about it being a convenience device that you can move around. I just don't think it's the right time for it. I think if the vita had already established itself, if it had an identity of it's own already and developers designing games for it, then this would probably do more good than bad. That's not

O.o Is that a hipster thing? What was the non-hipster thing to say? All of your comments have been very odd so far.

Not sure where being a hipster even factors in. I want to see the console sony designed actually come close to meeting it's potential before they cut it's head off, that would mean new and exciting games. Selling vita tv's isn't actually increasing the install base of the vita. It's increasing the install base of a

And not everyone wants to spend $400 on a ps4. Sony are supposed to convince them otherwise. You're supposed to stand by your the device you designed a little bit longer.
