We definitely should try communism again, because it's worked so well every previous time. People are fundamentally different now, so we certainly wouldn't have the same problems.

Also, would a game like Disco Elysium could had been made in a state that fully followed Marx and Engel’s ideas?
In a rational world that valued outcome as much as intent, this would be greeted as the equivalent of shouting “Heil Hitler”. I don’t care how “well intentioned” you think communism is “on paper”, it’s a genocidal weapon of mass economic and spiritual destruction. That said, there is a 99% possibility that the leftist…
I think some were upset that Fallout 4 edged more towards first-person shooter territory instead of its classic RPG ancestry, but overall it was a successful game and had great reviews. Fallout Shelter also did relatively well for a free-to-play mobile game, so much that it expanded to PC and most gaming consoles, and…
Only by people who insisted that Fallout 4 should have been exactly like New Vegas.
These poor workers. It’s well known that the Google offices contain some of the most inhumane working conditions on the planet. Free gourmet food and beverages, video games, nap pods, tabletop games, open concept state of the art architecture, floating schedules, the ability to yell at your boss in open forums…
Being an asshole boss isn’t exclusive to capitalism, by a long shot.
Yeah, the dude from Holland explaining the history and culture behind shit talking assholes is definitely racist. Did you even read the whole thing he said? Don't be a trashcan American, and if you aren't, don't act like one
funny how no one talks about how she was throwing things at him before he slapped her
The SOC group that I used to work with were pretty convinced that Facebook was controlling the camera at app start up. Something I’m pretty sure people don’t know about. Every one of the analysts on that team refused to have facebook on their phone without a protective environment that would allow them to control what…
Void for vagueness. Wait for it. How does one define satire? Or perhaps we’ll use the old Justice Stewart line, “I know it when I see it.”
I am not a supporter of the tech, but lets just come back in 5 years and see if anyone has actually been successfully prosecuted under this.
They do know better than most people. They know from actual data that if the option to disable updates is there, people just never update. Then a big vulnerability comes out and all of those people have their data stolen and somehow it’s MS’s fault.
You can turn off updates in Win 10 by turning off the update service. You can also easily set the times updates are done and you can defer updates by up to 35 days if you want. It’s not all that hard to do.
You can very easily schedule, set manual, or completely disable updates since forever in Windows. I would, however, love a built in option to prevent focus stealing.
As I said to someone else a few weeks ago here, you can always validate your self worth through the number of stars you get on Kinja.
Might be for the animation where she suddenly strangles and breaks the neck of the player––make it so that the game always has her behind the player.
I assume D+ is going to offer a two-tiered subscription system. A standard plan that includes every season of the Simpsons, and a premium plan that only includes seasons 1-9.
That...is pretty good. And on an internet where some of the worst excesses of human nature are encouraged and amplified, it ranks as a completely harmless observation.
