All kinds of high jinks waiting to happen when somebody is sent to pick up some Cayenne....

@witless_protection: Well, if the upholstery is anything like what's in my Pilot, all stains are permanent.

Did the menu items have circles and arrows and a paragraph on the back of each one explaining what it was?

I'm not a big fan of the E23's looks, but even still, this is the rare design that's not improved as a wagon. Looks like one of those awkward one-offs they do for the British royals.

Heh. Somewhere Murilee is laughing. But this is what people have to do in snow country to lay their hands on old iron. Buy non-running, bumblebee-painted Valiants, and feel lucky.

That's...interesting. I can't decide if it works or not. One problem is that the door glass is recessed, while the rest is flush. Which may be why the original never looked completely right to me, either.

With all the New England blood flowing in Bush's veins, maybe he was looking for Plymouth Rock?

Anything Ford (U.S.) stuck a Ghia badge on in the '70s. Mustang II? Granada?

Like the Grinch, I'm going to let my heart grow three sizes today and say NP, and tell my head to shut up with all its annoying little questions about engines, and rust, and dust obscuring the dials.

I hang my head in shame before the Swedes, who must be born with the ability to do this with RWD.

Because exhaust fumes are just the thing to keep that ornate plasterwork in tip-top shape.

That B-pillar looks to be wrapped around like a tourniquet, but it can't stop my eyes from bleeding.

The drop-top definitely solves the looks problem, but it's not enough improvement to justify that kind of coin.

If you shrunk me to 1/2" tall, I think that's how an angry yellow jacket would sound.

@Spiegel, Jamaican bobsledder: He will actually spend a long time in NJ trying to get to Philly via 80. Not to disparage an otherwise fine COTD.

I am so glad I snagged an '07 Legacy last spring with only 40K on the clock, before Subaru jumped on the bloatwagon. That car is just the right size, but I'll admit it would be a poor fit for a portly driver. Well, I guess the new Legacy takes care of that.

The signs were there, but he didn't heed them. He stuck them to the doors.

It's rare. It's squeaky clean. It's a Rolls. It's just not very attractive. Maybe I'm a Philistine. Anyway, I imagine somebody will pony up, so NP. I just wouldn't pay it, even if I had it.

Oh, my, that's pretty. A little thick in the C-pillar, but other than a Spider, about as pretty as a Fiat gets. Still, it's a '72 Fiat. Buyer's remorse would come, molto veloce.
