Not just you. I can’t really think of any time I’d want to watch TV or movies on my phone. Maybe the occasional YouTube clip, but any time I’d be watching something longer, it’d be on a plane where I’d bring a laptop or tablet.
I hate to break it to you, but ostentatious displays of wealth and narcissism go back thousands of years, not just to whenever you started hearing about kids these days. Nearly every great work of culture in human history would have, when it was created, made MTV Sweet Sixteen look like a solitary nun sorting beads.
A poorly paced SNL skit with a decent premise filled out with lazy junk? I’m shocked!
I mean, obviously Bogues and Webb are wrong, but any casual fan who hears “shortest” is going to think of those two first before they think through the MVPs/76ers from 20 years ago. Get the bright TV lights in your eyes and 20 seconds to guess, and Muggsy Bogues seems like a fine answer. It’s wrong, but it’s definitely…
I had the exact same response. The word “shortest” instantly brings up Muggsey Bogues or Spud Webb and pushes all other names out.
This. If anything, the XFL should take the opportunity its terrible QBs present and invest in other position players that can make a marginally interesting balanced game rather than pouring all their money and hopes into umm.....let me see...Matt McGloin? Ooof.
Good to know that someone keeps track, even if they apparently really don’t want to broadcast it.
I look forward to the post in a couple days about the degenerate emailers who want a link to the video.
This dumb thing reminds me of another dumb thing I’m curious about in the fantasy world. I don’t watch any of these knuckleheads, but I do know that they make lots of very specific predictions. Do those ever get brought up again and get their stats run, or do they actually get paid a shitload to pull numbers out of…
Or, for a little less cash, they could coast through the tournament thanks to a series of curious but entirely explainable refereeing decisions.
On the other hand, there have been several times in this Qatar hosting process that have made me question that the tournament will in fact happen.
Sure, this definition of pansexuality is terrible and offensive, but the real trick is to find one that isn’t offensive to somebody. Or to find two different definitions that are remotely compatible.
Maron’s doing god’s work here pointing out two important things to these kinds of twits:
I’m glad to see that most of the responses to Ethan Wyss’s tweet are about how he apparently doesn’t know what a streaker is.
I wouldn’t say brainwashed, but they’ve definitely guided the narrative to be overwhelmingly from the management perspective.
All these guys are rapacious capitalists right up until the moment someone ELSE stands to profit from the free market.
The definition of decimate is “destroy a great proportion of,” and half is a great proportion of something (actually much greater than a tenth), so Marvel was right and you are wrong. There is no word for “kill exactly half,” so I can’t imagine what you expected.
Oh god, and people are so proud of themselves for learning those rules that they will mercilessly criticize others for making heinous errors that are personal preferences.
It’s not that you’re not allowed to be funny. It’s wonderful to be funny!
