Does the article have a slight pessimistic tone because your weary of the creator of Android being able to pull off his own Android phone? Or just stayed panty-twisted from the first paragraph onwards because the Verge got the story?

I had Burger King last month for the first time in years. I was all geeked up to get a double cheeseburger, as I remember them being great. It sucked, the fries sucked, and the whole place was pretty dirty.
Burger King is terrible.
It’s not like Philippe is super popular, especially not in Flanders! But that is probably exactly why there is such a strong response from the royal family themselves. With little support of the Flemish majority, and a country that is at real risk of falling apart, they are not in a strong position.
I love a royal beef.
I would be annoyed if I was in a Burger King ad too. They have terrible food, even by fast food standards.
I thought Elysium wasn’t as bad as people said it was. It wasn’t great but it was far from shit. Though Chappie was a fat stinking turd.
Sorry Blomkamp, but after Chappie, you are getting the same cold shoulder I gave to Scott after Prometheus and to Shyamalan after The Last Airbender: I’m skipping your next project, unless I hear it is really, really good.
What’s unfortunate about Elysium is that it really wouldn’t take that much more work to make it a solid film: Get rid of Jodie Foster (who I normally love, but just doesn’t work here), flesh out Matt Damon’s backstory so we can get a better idea of his shitshow life before things go bad (maybe more time as a kid?) and…
Even looking like a upper end syfy tv movie, this has loads more potential than the slop Ridley Scott put out with Covenant.
From what I’ve seen of his stuff, Blomkamp seems to be his best in short form. A feature film length just allows him to clog the runtime with bullshit.
It’s about time we finally see a realization of the oat saga.
I’m sure he’s long since been told he isn’t doing an Aliens movie. For some reason Scott is the only person allowed to do them even though he has like 3 good movies ever to his name.
But does it have social commentary about class inequality?
I am very okay with this because NB is better at shorts. Out of all his movies District 9 is the only real winner. Chappie and Elysium while visually stunning and the worlds themselves are fully realized, the stories have been kind of shit.
I’d give it a chance. The man’s had time enough to reflect on what’s worked and what hasn’t in his films, and the hoary old alien invasion trope is WAY overdue for reinvention, when you consided even an Indepenence Day sequel couldn’t get enough traction to matter. There were ideas in Chappie worth exploring, and…
I suspect this is in no small part due to him getting tired of waiting around for the green light on the Alien project and just going ahead and telling some of the ideas for stories he’s had sitting around in his head without them. The short format may work well for him to at least get material out and in front of…
She is looking more like Dakota Fanning...
I have read the script and can reveal the super secret plot of this movie!
