The idea that if Trump is impeached, you can’t “run on issues” is the most bonkers new conventional wisdom yet.

If you read the Constitution, you’ll see it’s actually worse than that! It says “If our big strong boy gets impeached, then that means he can’t go to prison for anything ever and that he’s Actually President For Life Now.” It’s right down near the bottom. Most people don’t get that far. You hate to see it.

My only hope is that she’s delaying the impeachment inquiry until closer to the election. But that’s a dangerous game too- you will be accused of using impeachment as a campaign technique and not playing fair. Sadly, that will resonate with a lot of ‘independent’ (if they exist) voters.
