personal opinions is one thing, donating to politicians that actively target minorities and make their lives significantly worse is quite another.

My personal “favorite” is when the behavior and anatomy of these fantasy creatures map to stereotypes of groups of people and we’re expected to just write this off as a wee coinkydink.

I never saw Big Foot in the forests of San Andreas, but definitely saw empty, slowly moving cars that would appear out of thin air in the middle of the forest. Creepy as hell.

Unless they’re leaving for hell, and never to come back, I don’t give a damn.

Number station are pretty cool. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Numbers_station

Remembered reading back on April 1 somebody posted a Fallout 4 mod where if your F4 character got injured in the game you would suffer the same injury in real life. It was a joke mod that did nothing, but some players went along with it; one even joking that he was going to the hospital because the game shot him in a

Uh... Nexus isn’t Bethesda. And Nexus has piles & piles of stuff that Beth wouldn’t host on their own mod system.

Who said Bethesda made Nexus take it down? Chances are Nexus did it themselves.

I suspect that it has less to do with what the mod does and more to do with how the mod does it.

Intended. We can make them as smooth as we want to, but decided to keep the framerate low to make it look more like the original Doom games!

What’s the issue? If what it does is made explicitly clear, it serves effectively the same purpose as a website blocker to help people break bad habits with playing time.

The player weapon animation had a lower framerate than the game world, but I saw lighting effects that made me wonder if that was a deliberate affectation.

Truly free speech” as an explicitly protected right doesn’t exist anywhere in the modern world - find me a country in which you’re permitted to shout “fire” in a crowded theatre. This debate was put to bed a long time ago, too. The US supreme court decided the matter (using the above analogy) a century ago, for

Actually, I think you could make an argument that spreading demonstrably false public health information in the midst of a public health crisis is equivalent to yelling “fire” in a movie theater on a global scale.

The law certainly allows for it...

These false statements of fact are a public health danger and shouldn’t be protected under our freedom of speech, let alone supported by a private company who damn well knows better.  Your rights to spout dumbass gibberish ends when my life is at stake.  Fuck Reddit.

A reminder: the USA’s national suicide hotline is 1-800-273-8255. Speaking from experience, it can help.

Can we just hire Levar Burton and get it over with?

It’s almost like people could have played it outside of Steam in various times throughout their lives in the last 25 years to justify their passion for it or something...

Just checked Steam, and YES, it’s a free upgrade, with achievements.
