The Raptors lost this one.  The Warriors still have the same problem: no one but Klay and Steph is showing up offensively.  This does not bode well for their success in the next two games.

The television clearly showed fans waving “bye-bye” at KD as he lay on the ground.

How do the Raptors have the upper hand?  They gave up a game at home.  Unless Thompson and Looney can’t play, the Warriors are going to be favored in the next two games, which would put them up 3-1.  I don’t think the Raptors will have the upper hand until a Game 7.

Yeah, but that’s been with Van Vleet playing out of his head and Siakem having one of the greatest shooting performances in playoff history. Regression to the mean can be a bitch, and it’s coming for the Raptors (although that would also mean Kawhi is in for a couple of big games coming up).

If Siakem, Van Vleet, and Gasol continue to play at this level, the Raptors will more than deserve the title.  The fact is, however, they won’t, so it will fall once again on Leonard to play hero ball.  That doesn’t look good for Drake.

The Eurostep is the worst thing to hit the NBA ever.

He’s not wrong about man buns.

The only problem with Arya killing the Night King is that if screws up the Azor Ahai thing being Jon or Dany. None of us nerds have had enough time to come up with elaborate “Arya is the Prince Who Was Prophesied” theories. That and the fact that a lot of nerds are blatant misogynists.

Melisandre reminded Arya that she had killed many “Brown eyes, green eyes . . . blue eyes”. That struck me as a direction to go kill more wights, in particular the Night King. That, I think, was her purpose for being there: to direct Arya to revert to her assassin persona and kill the Night King.

Given Joerger’s track record in his job as head coach and given Vlade’s track record in his job as GM, I think this is yet another example of the King’s front office shooting the team in the foot.  All that’s needed now is for Vivek to intervene with a demand that Joerger runs this RPO offense he’s been hearing so

Ryan Madson needs to return that sacred tiki to Hawaii before his whole career blows up.

I’m a partisan, but I’ve got to say the Dodgers lost the Series more than the Sox won it. The Sox basically played the way they played all season except their starting pitching was probably a bit better and Betts and Martinez played a bit worse. The Dodgers, on the other hand, all lost their ability to get on base

As a Warriors fan, this is delicious.

Yeah, the cast is stacked, but if the monsters aren’t fighting each other, are we fighting them?  I’m just not seeing a narrative that makes sense.

I was walking my dog one day in the middle of Palo Alto when a turkey vulture flew right in front of us (it had been eating a dead possum in a driveway). It landed in a nearby tree. Very quickly, all the crows in the area congregated on the trees and power lines nearby and started to bitch the turkey vulture out.  It

I’m just shocked the Kings didn’t select Grayson Allen.

As a Warriors fan, I hope to God the Lakers sign Carmelo.

This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Lebron. There is simply no way Popovich and Buford allow Kawhi to go to a Western Conference rival (the Kings maybe, but not the Lakers).  That leaves Lebron with a roster that is high on potential but in no way truly competitive for a ring for at least the next 2 or 3

Remember that the Thunder still has Carmelo, who refused to play a back up role. Carmelo’s negative value at this point in his career off-sets any advantage the Thunder get from Roberson’s return to the line-up. George just guaranteed himself a future of first-round playoff exits for the rest of his prime.

Winston was a shitty person in college; why do we expect him to be anything but that in the pros?
