Disagree, there’s a lot that can happen, it’s just unlikely the plastic its self would injure him. But there are plenty of other bad scenarios including getting distracted and crashing.

Exactly. Plus these people get to do LITERALLY THE MOST FUN THING I CAN POSSIBLY THINK OF DOING.

Willing to bet “mass” is a thing in physics.

I have no problem with this. If you can’t control yourself to the point of assaulting someone and throwing a temper tantrum, you clearly need to not be put in that situation ever again. Simple as that.

We barely get snow in Seattle, but I can assure you my 400 hp RWD car is no faster than a camry below 30 mph roughly 70 percent of the time (when the ground is wet.)

I think people are underestimating how many people live in a place where AWD has genuine benefits if you want to go fast.

Or just even “It rained today.

Here’s the thing. Where I live, the ground is wet 70 percent of the time. I’m pretty sure people here would like to experience neck snapping acceleration too, and that’s just much much harder to do with a rear wheel drive car.

I somehow didn’t see this response until two months later. That is awesome and thank you for pointing it out to me!

If I remember correctly (it’s been a while since I drove 3+ hours in my car) it felt more like a “I need to change positions” cramp than a full on muscle cramp. I have relatively small hands for a man as well, it could just be that my thumb joint doesn’t like opening that wide for too long of a period.

Oh, its for sure a modern BMW. They are clearly the worse perpetrator of this fad.

My wheel will make my hands cramp on road trips because its so thick.

I’d be willing to bet 5-10 % of people do burnouts when leaving cars and coffee.

Slow your roll man, i’m not putting myself out there as someone in the know. Just as a person who lived through the era with memories as flawed as anyone’s after 20+ years. I just went and looked up the wikipedia page. Now, that’s obviously no authority, but the page seems to point to a lot of people loving it, but

Yeah, 82 was not a good year for cars.

There were actually a ton of cars added in the last few games, its just that when you’re adding 50 cars to a roster of 5 or 6 hundred, it feels like a relatively small change. I think from a developer standpoint, it feels like diminishing returns. Making 20 cars is a lot cheaper than making 40 cars, but add 20 cars to

Huh. Been at least a year or two since i played, but I remember the custom race settings having really extensive options, but maybe i’m thinking of the multiplayer races. Those even let you do stuff like mess with the physics/grip levels.

Oof. Had a friend who had spent some time in an institution due to mental health issues. He killed himself with a gun he bought after getting out. Our gun control laws suck in this country (granted that was over a decade ago at this point.)

Where are you from? Because if you are a murrican, I would be very, very careful about pointing fingers at others regarding human rights. Voting rights, transgender rights, immigrant children in cages etc.

Have you played around with the custom races? I don’t think there’s really a “Career path” in those games, just leveling up/winning money. The custom races kind of allow you to do whatever you want and will pay out on roughly the same scale as any other race to my memory.
