Coming from David “There Are Too Many Jeeps In This Yard And It Makes No Perfect Sense” Tracy

Yeah, apparently the area where the noose was displayed is a secure area that is only accessible by team/crew members and NASCAR officials and employees. Some seem to feel that this was an inside job.

Right? Like if one of you didn’t do it, you at least know who did.

Clearly you haven’t been paying attention to anything that’s been going on this year. You might want to catch up.

That’s actually my favorite part of this. It’s very likely that they’re in there. Which means some racist douche bag has to walk in solidarity for the very thing that they hate so much.

Came here to say the same thing. The area it was found in has no public access so only credentialed personnel could have been there.

PS - I love the term ‘cynical mass.’ Très bonne.

You aren’t alone in that thought.  The spineless piece of shit is somewhere in pits.

I’ll give it a 50-50 chance that it was one of the people walking with him who realized “I done fucked up... I hope I don’t get caught... I better go on this walk for appearances

Nah, you’re on to something.   Who else would have been able to get to the garage in the first place? Unless it was someone from the corporate office, or maybe a journalist for the “Gatorspit Gazette”, where they have personal ads for dating your sister.

It was probably a track worker or maybe a very immature/racist pit crew member, I think all the drivers know better than to make a literal death threat.

You and me both.

The perp is in that group, somewhere.

Come on... clearly this was the marketing team. NASCAR needs a “goodwill” morale boost after all the negativity from the ban of the confederate flag. Plant the flag, and then have all the teams walk out together. win win for everyone.

it fucking sucks that it’s the first reaction you had but you aren’t alone because it’s absolutely what i first thought as well

Could have also been someone from the track, not one of the teams.

I’m sure it’s usually much more enjoyable to agree with you, but I’m doing it now, and I’m not enjoying it.

With all the reports saying that access to the garage was limited to teams and facility personnel, I don’t think it unreasonable to think the perpetrator is likely in the crowd. Opting out of this show of solidarity would immediately out him, so he has to feign outrage at his own actions.

I think many people are that same train of thought.

Yeah I thought the same thing.
