1) It’s called research. They needed reference to replicate realistic looking animations, detailing, anatomy of the monsters, lighting, etc.
Destiny is more welcoming than ever
I traded in my copy today after finding out that I now owned a retail disc copy of a playable demo. Having the vast majority of content locked behind a $40 paywall on a game I already paid $100 for ($60 at release, plus both DLC) really made me completely lose all interest in this game.
As much as TTK looks awesome, I don’t know if I can abide this arbitrary lockout for Y1 players. This is inexcusable, and I think, sets a bad precedent. I’m primarily a PVP player, and this just grinds my gears. It didn’t have to be this way, and is another vibrant display of Bungie and Activision’s tone-deafness.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I totally respect that.
I spent longer on this quest than i should have. The meta aspect of this quest really drove home the point that it is people who make this game - they disrupted the suspension of disbelief to talk to the player directly which i think was a bold and fantastic move.
“but I will say that I have yet to see a cutscene that’s run longer than a few minutes”
A personal favorite.
In 2005, I got Resident Evil 4. A huge game that reinvented the series instead of doing the same formula year after year, and it still managed to cram mini games into it, unlockable weapons, unlockable outfits, unlockable missions, unlockable characters, and several game modes, all for the BASE PRICE.
FLCL is made when the depressed animator of EVA asked to make happy go lucky series.
