the next 4 years will be awesome, I can already tell!

I mean...you copy something, you risk the people who originated it saying something.

Surely the people behind this body kit knew that they were skating on thin ice, no?

I hope the porch pirate and the truck owner’s insurance sues the fuck out of this guy. This dude caused tens of thousands of dollars in damage over a $20 package that Amazon would comp.

Even if it’s fixable, that truck is totaled. Remember, Tesla uses their infamously unfixable "gigacastings". That means an impact like this has likely destroyed the entire front structure. Stick a fork in it, the truck is done.

This is why I have zero interest in renting out my car, my house, my horse, or literally anything else I own. People will just destroy it all without a second thought.

He had the person’s face on his Ring camera. He had their liecense plate. Everything he needs to simply call police and get it taken care of. But instead he has ruined his life to live out a petty childish vigilante dream.

I feel like you lose a lot of legal ground as soon as the burglar leaves your property.

Correct. “Man traps” are generally illegal, even on your own property.

Vigilante “justice” almost always makes things worse.

Most insurance policies have a clause stating they will not pay out in the event the vehicle is used for a crime, and deliberately running someone off the road definitely sounds like a crime.  I wouldn’t be surprised if all the insurances involved refused to pay out.

Booby trapping your property with explosives would likely result in felony charges.  Just follow Mark Rober’s lead and make some stink/glitter bomb packages.

Yeah. Despite what Hollywood tells us, petty theft is not a capital offense. I absolutely understand the frustration, but also this dude is going to lose way more than an Amazon package.

$30,000 in damage to save a $20 Etsy necklace! Huzzah!

That’s an EV issue in general, particularly without tax incentives and manufacturer incentives that are only possible with profitable ICE vehicle sales.

One can go on to fueleconomy.gov, and do some calculations on whether or not an EV will save you money. Even if you did 15k miles per year and paid $4 per gallon, an

Personally, the Ioniq 6 and Ioniq 5 aesthetics are a 1 and 3 out of 10, respectively.

Still a firm believer that if you really do need a third row you should just get a minivan. It’s better in every way for everything you’re actually going to do in the vehicle.

It looks like a concept car from the 90s.

Why are all of the Ioniq’s so damn ugly?

I’ve seen this before.
