So I literally knew nothing about the books and show doesn’t totally work for me for a few reasons.

That’s probably one of the very few things I didn’t like - this is a war they’re fighting. People die. It happens. Especially in the Matrix.
Yeah I haven’t watched the trilogy since 2005 and this movie, including the point you just made, made far more sense to me.
I have no idea what Reddit likes or dislikes. The fact is the man was fired for something he most likely didn’t do.
So are we just going to continue to not mention that Heard’s allegations against Depp were largely BS and that Heard is actually a crazy person?
Spoken like someone who doesn’t have a family to support. Some people can’t risk it man. You are technically right but you could be a bit more sympathetic. Shitting on your fellows coworkers isn’t going to make them less afraid.
“… we finally have gotten away from the Skywalker saga…”
I remember playing the demo for this game and just being wildly confused the whole time. Understood nothing about the characters, the combat system, or what was going on in the world. I finished it thinking “what did I just do for three hours?”
The point I was making is this bad show you like does much of the same stuff. It’s not superior. You haven’t disproved anything I said, only sidestepped it with examples, examples that I can only guess at what you’re referencing because they don’t exactly correlate to what I referenced.
... you mean like what happens in live action Bebop when Gren was written as the token “gay friend” and gets the shit kicked out of her, Julia gets written as the “damsel in distress,” then gets beaten and emotionally battered for ten episodes, or when Anna got written as a blaxploitation stereotype and also gets…
The Bebop movie has always felt underrated to me. We lost a true artist today.
What in this trailer says anything about any Skywalkers? Pretty sure this is during the High Republic. Skywalker is nowhere close to existing during this time period.
One thing that has not changed enough in season 2 is that the series still feels somewhat slow....
I don’t think you’ve ever even considered, read, or watched any critique of what it is that actually makes the show good. There are plenty of good ones on Youtube. I’d advise watching one.
Okay, but you do understand that movies and shows like The Godfather, Breaking Bad, Mad Men, The Dark Knight, etcetera, are almost universally loved for very tangible reasons, right?
The anime is GOATed by countless people. It’s okay not to love it as much as I do, but if you can’t understand the technical artistic reasons why people feel that way, then you shouldn’t be judging it or the live action show either in terms of quality.
My dude on a very basic level you do not seem to understand that you like something that is objectively mediocre.
What do you want people to do? Pretend that they like something subpar? This isn’t just Netflix cancelling a good show. Views were low, reviews were middling at best, and viewer/fan reviews are terrible.
I don’t see any other way he would’ve made it happen. Gamers are notoriously cynical about... well, most things, but especially award shows. So there’s no world in which he could’ve done the game awards with a majority of the money being independent funding.
We’ll most likely never know what this “outline” that George gave them consisted of. There’s several thousand unpublished pages in Winds of Winter and Dream of Spring. I seriously doubt that Martin would’ve been able to distill all of that into a few final seasons, but hey, maybe he did.
