Yesssssss

Haha. Back of the line, private, next to me (usually).

True. Worse still that both great artists have left us.

Haha. My immediate thought.

Fun fact: she was vocally trained to sing opera (or so I have read).

I've come across a number of great Prince performances like that one. Including some Hendrix covers. Maybe Prince will at least posthumously get the recognition as a great guitarist he failed to get during his lifetime throu YouTube and increased sales and, ultimately, new releases if there's music in the vault.

So awesome and a great find. I came across this. Amy Winehouse and Prince. Love is a Losing Game. Obviously recorded by someone at the concert, it’s pretty rough.

AxsTv aired some Jazz Fest coverage tonight. Awesome. And as I thought, part of the fest was shut down due to weather, and I saw some really deep mud, water flowing. There’s always next year.

So, I watched a re-airing of the 2016 Rock and Rock Hall of Fame Induction today. I’d forgotten how banging Cheap Trick was. They performed Surrender and did pretty damn good for old guys. Here they are back in the day.

So, I read that Prince called band members of Journey to have a listen to Purple Rain before he recorded it as it had some similarities to Faithfully. They appreciated the call. For whatever reason, I am now a bigger fan of Journey

Thanks, Still.

So Chris Stapleton paid homage to Prince as are other artists. As a Prince fan, I appreciate that.

A national treasure. And The Boss of NOLA.

I’ve been missing DUAN a lot lately. Too much work and family drama. I need my community for the mental health breaks. Haha. Anyway, this is a great post. And it seems I’ve picked a bad year to miss Jazz Fest. Great music as usual. Damn. But the rain. If you’ve ever gone during torrential downpours, well, some may

Best comment.

No haters here.

So glad you posted this. I meant to post “Me and Mrs. Jones,” a fav song of mine he wrote, sang, and has been covered by many, including the late, great Marvin Gaye. It’s one of those songs I call a baby maker. It’s late now, so perhaps tomorrow. Another artist lost this year.

Dude. Harsh tale. But as a good friend once told me, nothing good can come of a Ray LaMontagne concert. Not judging the situation or the music.

Pleasure, Darkwing. Here’s one that’s been running through my brain. Crosby, Stills, and Nash sans Young. Long Time Gone.
