Hey, I have one that looks like that!

It bothers me that this is an impossible drive train. Those gears are locked in place. Also it is a single reduction, not one that can shift. I suggest using different art.

My girlfriend gave me this:

Any car that had some merit when new for under $1000 is NP. If it’s mostly complete, you’ll have no problem parting it out for a nice profit. All you need is the space and a couple weekends to take it apart. And a camera to post pics on Craigslist.

The best part is that the next thing that happens is the floor pan falling off.

I feel like this isn’t really fair. Tiny screwball auto manufactures that didn’t survive more than 5 years could populate a book series on questionable design decisions.

I liked the green concept:

It was a design flaw. Previous generations used ABS, but Ford switched to a cheaper plastic. There is even a class-action lawsuit about this very issue.

It depends on where you live I think. When I lived in FL I didn’t notice it but it’s everywhere in MD. I believe they crack in the cold.

Pretty much any Ford from any era had some set of asinine problems that could have been avoided/corrected with little to no thought/effort.
