I own a Wii U and the re-releases/ports don’t bother me at all. The more opportunities for more people to buy the same games on more platforms the better, as far as I’m concerned. I bought it 3 years ago, so I wasn’t an early adopter and therefore am not that bitter about it, just a little disappointed that I didn’t

Don’t get me wrong, I love my PS4, but I think the mistakes that Sony have made this time around are -

‘Just gone 4 years’ old is not ‘almost 5 years old’, the previous generation of consoles lasted for 7-8 years, and the mid-generation hardware refresh (PS4 Pro and Xbox One X) might keep this generation going even longer.

That’s what I would do if I could, but even buying a first property seems out of reach to me.

How is earning more going to help unless you save? If you’re earning $1,000 a month and saving $500 of it you’re better off than someone who’s earning $10,000 a month and spending it frivolously. So, sure, try to earn as much as you can, but then make your money work for you - either save or invest it, or a bit of

Yeah, I don’t plan to retire (which I figure is a safe plan, as if I planned on it I might be disappointed). I think the key is to find a kind of work that you like and are passionate about and can scale down/semi-retire from, because not only will that give me a steady trickle of income during ‘retirement’ but it

9 million? That’s a huge difference. Almost twice the population of the state!

I love The Goonies. I’m not old enough to have seen it in the cinema but I saw it on TV at just the right age to be captivated by the idea of a group of kid friends finding a real treasure map and going to find the treasure, and I think it still holds up for an adult audience today because it’s still a great story

Same here. I’ve got a list of things I love/can remember from the ‘80's with no plot connecting them in my head - why do I need this? I did make it to the end of the book but all I remember from it is ZORK! ZORK! ZORK! ZORK! ZORK! which just made me want to play Zork.

It’s in 4K and the loading screen mini games that have not been present in any version since the PS2 version have been restored.

The whole thing is nothing but references so the more references the better.

All I remember from the book is -

The book was great

Halo Wars 2

I love how everyone assumed you didn’t own a Wii U. I’ve also got Bayonetta 1 + 2 on the Wii U so I feel you, Wii U brother. I’m getting a Switch for Christmas and it’s made me realise how many great games I’ve still got to finish on the Wii U.

Well Bayonetta 2 was/is a Wii U exclusive (with a Switch port coming) so this is hardly surprising. But the first game really did benefit from being ported to other platforms so hopefully the second and third follow suit, even if it’s years later. Although, with the success of the Switch it’s probably not that likely.

I haven’t got one yet but, if I had bought one at launch, I would pretty much have only used it for playing Zelda - because most of that ridiculous number of good games I already own on other platforms.

Wait, you mean I played the best game of 2017 on a 5 year old flop of a console that I’ve otherwise hardly played in the 3 years I’ve owned it?

VI?! I somehow missed Soul Calibur III, IV and V!

You say ‘special’ as if it means ‘new’. It may be ‘just another open world game’ but then so is Zelda and that won a bunch of awards. It’s not about doing something new, it’s about doing what they do exceedingly well, and both games are special in that regard. So it’s a shame that Horizon didn’t win anything at all.
