General rule of thumb — and I say this as someone with an IMDB page (ooh!) and a (very short) stint as a professional screenwriter — if a writer has to explain to the audience why a character did something, then the writer failed somewhere along the way. I still watch this show, and Modern Family also. BBT does seem to be more popular among my parents’ generation (70s) than among my own (40s), which seems to be par for the course for Chuck Lorre shows.

You know— and I say this as someone with a few minor writing credits on IMDB — if the answer to ‘Why did this character’s behavior change so drastically?’ is ‘It didn’t, we telegraphed this in an episode from eight years ago!’, you probably haven’t done your job as a writer.

You know, I was pretty sure I saw Rhaegal die at the hands of Zombie Viserion, which made a lot more sense than Euron shooting it down.

My 77-year-old aunt, who is currently serving her fifth term as mayor of her small town (four terms as Republican, this term as a Democrat) just loved it.  I haven’t seen it, but I’ve seen every Best Picture winner this century so I imagine I’ll get around to it eventually.  I, uh, like the three lead actors a lot!

And, of course, a documentary about the family pet, BoBama HorseDog.

I really like this show, and this bums me out. I’m two eps into season 3, so I guess I’ll take my time with what’s left.

Wegman’s is awesome, if you go on, say, Monday at 1:30pm. Otherwise, it’s generally shopping-cart demolition derby. The store itself is great, but mostly serves as an argument that Thanos was right.

This strike drove me to Wegman’s.  Wegman’s!  I barely escaped with my life.

Glenn’s weird fakeout non-death in season 6, only to be followed by a possible reprieve from his expected fate in season 7 with Abraham, only to then immediately be killed after all that— it was kinda my last straw for the show. Still lovin’ them comics, though.

The last time I went to an Olive Garden, 9/11 happened the next day.  Just sayin’.
