Saw this guy today, I feel like it’s probably been 15 years since the last time I saw one.
Hi all, sorry to be late, we’ve had a bit of confusion here at Fur Face HQ as to who was doing today’s edition. I guess it’s me! In any event, rest assured it is indeed Friday, and I’m sure the denizens of Kinja have some wonderful Fur Faces for us to close out our weeks. Let’s get right to it!
Update: Took it to the shop for an oil change and to get a professional opinion on the noise. Their initial impression was the same as yours, that it was probably a rock between the brake and the backing plate. However, when the pulled the splash guard off the bottom to change the oil, they found the crank pulley nut…
I was thinking about the Oppo Map (as set up by Clemsie McKenzie) today, and it hasn’t been posted recently and seems to still work, so I thought it could use a bump.

As expected, Airbus is ending A380 production after the A380's largest purchaser, Emirates, slashed its order of order A380s. Emirates has agreed to buy A350s and A330neos in its place. The last delivery is scheduled to take place in 2021, with 14 more planes being built for Emirates and 3 for ANA. The A380 is the…
NASA has officially ended their attempts to make contact with the Opportunity rover on Mars. Launched 15 years ago on a 90-day mission to the red planet, Opportunity roved on until last summer when contact was lost amid a massive months-long planet-wide dust storm. It is suspected that either cold damage occurred due…
Welcome to Fur Face Friday! It’s cold outside, but hopefully the pets of Kinja will keep you warm! Let’s get started!
As I noted the other day, Kinja has been doing a weird thing where it duplicates my posts in the dashboard:
Greetings folks, it’s Friday again, and the holidays are drawing close. I’m about ready to do nothing productive for the rest of the year. But before that, I’ll muster enough effort to select some snouts from last week’s excellent post (we had lots of high-quality submissions, so this was a very hard week to choose).
I do want them to have money to keep the sites up after all. Then I find myself browsing without an ad blocker, and get reminders of why I don’t:
It’s Friday again, so that means it’s time for Fur Faces! Hopefully you and your pets had a wonderful Halloween without and doorbell freak outs or escape attempts and with many pet-appropriate treats!
Apparently when you drive an electric car, they don’t apply to you or something:
Sources have been telling Tyler that as many as 17 F-22s were unable to escape Tyndall Air Force Base prior to hurricane Michael.
A Studebaker Avanti!
Because it looks like we are getting more of it!
The Atlantic has a very cool gallery of Jack Delano’s photos of Chicago’s railyards taken in the early 1940s:
More specifically, they have awarded $9.2B (and probably a lot more to come) to the Boeing/Saab team to develop and build new trainers to replace the long-serving T-38. The main competitor was the Lockheed/KAI T-50, which was a more mature choice. The Boeing/Saab T-X was purpose-built for this competition.
My ad blocker crashed, and this is what I’m seeing on Kinja:
Welcome all, to another edition of Fur Face Friday, your source for the best pets of the Kinjaverse! No time to chat this week, so let’s get to it!
