No clue. Googled “puking blood gif” and there ya go.

So? Is there something wrong with investing in something even though you don’t 100% agree with their business model? Because if you can’t financially support something if you don’t agree with it 100% then I have to assume you’re ok with the 12 year-old that got paid $3 this month to build your phone or the 8 year-old

The problem I see is that the high end of the truck market is at the low end of the Tesla market. Until they can prove that their cheap cars are actually any good and not a like of quality issues, it’d be hard to believe they could make a full size truck whose price is actually competitive with the rest of the market.

Dang so you actually bought those didn’t you? My shoes?

For the love of god, please tell me you’re not talking about a toothbrush.

Design flaws and bad parts occur with tooling too and they affect every single component downstream. Not knowing why they were having issues with build quality, the tooling has to be just as suspect as everything else.

The problem is, if they’re not changing the appearance, that means they’re probably going to use the same tooling. And if they’re using the same tooling, you can probably expect a lot of the same build quality problems.

With how big the new civic is, it may be the same size.

They haven’t sold a civic hatch in the US since 2005. That’s why people are making a big deal out of it. It’s still stupid, but not quite as stupid.

Swindon.

I kinda wish they would have just released this as the standard 4 door. It doesn’t look any different than the sedan and it’s way more practical because that sedan trunk is just horrible.

The problem is probably more that modern clutches last longer...

I think he’s talking about manual shifters with cable linkage, not electronics.

It really depends on the hill, but in general, coasting in gear will use less gas than coasting in neutral. You may use a bit more gas getting back up to speed at the bottom if you engine brake, but the difference between idling all the way down a hill and using literally zero fuel all the way down is much larger.

As long as you’re rev matching, you’re good. If you’re not, you could definitely wear the synchros which would cause it to grind. If you’re losing power at high RPM, I’d fix that sensor. Your ECU is likely retarding the timing to avoid causing damage to the engine.

That’s what i was thinking. It probably greatly depends on the shift linkage geometry too. For example, my z3 has a fulcrum just below the shifter so pushing down on it applies an upward force where the linkage actually enters the trans (or at least it would if it didn’t have positive stops). Is that still bad? No

That doesn’t make any sense. The load the transmission sees under engine braking is equal to the torque from parasitic loss from the engine rotating. Compare that to the load the transmission sees in normal driving which is equal to whatever torque your engine is producing. One of those torques is enough to move tow a

If it were really about the rules of grammar, the first, third, and fourth appearance of “God” in your post would have been in quotes because you’re referring to the word “God,” not God himself.

Is that shade? Did he just throw shade? Still working on this lingo.
