Would you want to read a motorsports blog that goes into painful detail about all the most mundane details of racing every article? I wouldn’t. Just like i wouldn’t read a football blog that explains extra point rules every time a team goes for two after a touchdown. The writer has to make some assumptions about their

Again, first sentence, haven’t watched the race yet. Just clarifying what the rule is since most people don’t actually seem to know how it’s applied. Some of the drivers even cry foul in cases where no one has done anything wrong (looking at you Hams).

That’s the problem though. Words imply things and people will infer from then what they will. Musk used the technical definition of autopilot which doesn’t mean what the vast majority of people understand it to mean. And then he made up his own definition of beta which doesn’t mean what the vast majority of people

I haven’t watched the race yet, but it seems 98% of the time people make this complaint, it’s because they don’t fully understand the rule. To be clear, a driver can only make one blocking maneuver, but they can also move back to the racing line as long as they leave one car’s width if the passing driver has moved

This is a blog whose name is based on the color coding of flags used for signalling drivers during racing. I’m pretty sure most people who frequent this site will know what the blue flags mean. Those that don’t frequent this site probably don’t care and just wanted to see celebrity drama.

Ultimately the driver has the final say on whether or not the tires are good for another lap either way though. The kind of things the team isn’t allowed to tell the driver are, “Hey your tires are at 50% wear,” or, “Go easy on your rear left.” That is, the team isn’t allowed to give out data on the tires or tell them

It’s still a team effort. The driver just has to do all the driving without the pit wall telling them how to adjust their braking points. I don’t think rosberg should have been penalized, but All the direction from the pit wall was boring and was ever frustrating the drivers.

It’d be nice if they at least had to lock down the engine mode at the start of the race. Being able to crank up the boost in the beginning to get out to an early lead, then tune it down to cruise to the finish is boring.

The problem want just vehicle condition messages though. They were telling the drivers where they could brake later, where they could get in the throttle earlier, when to charge their batteries. They we’re basically telling them how to drive the cars. The drivers should be able to tell how good their tires are doing

Google Lithium-Air batteries. That’s the breakthrough that’ll eventually make electric cars feasible. They’re only now approaching similar power densities as lithium ion batteries, but give it ten years and it’ll be THE dominant technology in EVs.

And then there are the VW fan boys that, when they lose a race, remind you of that other time when they won a race.

This just in! Racing requires using driving techniques that aren’t recommended for longevity of wear items!

Good shop dude. The shadows aren’t quite right otherwise I wouldn’t have noticed.

In a proper AWD car, you also have some form of limited slip front, rear, and center. Without that, AWD is a gimmick.

I’m going to hazard a guess that 79 up there doesn’t own a hacked Android and that out was also for a joke.

When automakers stop making cars that I like to make more cars that I don’t like, that’s when it affects me. It’s selfish and stupid, but it’s also the reason why a lot of cars aren’t sold with manuals anymore.

I’d year that apart. I mean, I’m a straight dude, but goddamn.

I refuse to believe the hemp van is not real.

Exactly. Just like bioplastics.

Bioplastic =/= biodegradable so I’m afraid I don’t know what your point is... If you don’t like plastic, great, but being derived from modern plant oil vs. prehistoric plant oil doesn’t change anything (except your perception of it obviously).
