Funny how that innovation came attached to the complete removal of consumer rights. Innovation does not have to come at the cost of your rights. Is that kind of innovation really worth it?

While you may have a point with price competition, in actuality it doesn't work that way. Even if the digital and hard copies act the same once bought and activated, they wouldn't compete with each other for 1 reason: digital copies don't require manufacturing, shipping, shelf space in a powered/lit/ac'd store, etc...
Innovation does not have to come at the cost of every single one of our rights as gamers.
We don't know the exact numbers, but there are numerous comparisons of pre-order rankings, and many retailers didn't even have the XboxOne in the top 10 of preorders, while multiple PS4 versions were in the top 10.
Exactly. So what's the point of the dealer? Either way, the car I want to test drive is not available near me. At least if I buy a Tesla, it won't be massively marked up because of the dealership model.
It's all well and good to take the wait and see approach, but these are not these are not things that will change by trying them. A 24-hour intranet check-in is a hard requirement that many people would have difficulty with. An always-watching Kinect is what it is. Limiting your rights to resell is a straight…
I guess my point was that one of the main supposed draws of a dealership model is that you can test drive before buying. If you can't even do that, then there really is no purpose to dealerships. As you said, I could order OEM without the markup and drive it for the first time at delivery, or I could have a dealer…
Not just that, but with an OEM order, you're not limited to what your dealer feels like people in that region want. I tried to test drive a manual ATS turbo last week, and was told that the closest place it was in stock was over 400 miles away.
The price doesn't really matter. It's the act of "lending" that's important. I wouldn't be surprised if Microsoft does a similar "let a friend borrow your game" type of thing with the X1. If you want to sell the game, all this does is give you another option on how to sell it. You can sell the disc as usual, or you…
Barnes and Noble allows the same things with e-books. When you lend an ebook to a friend, you can no longer read it until he "returns" it. I'd imagine B would work the same way.
Say what you will about Microsoft, at least they actually REVEALED their console at their reveal event. I think it's pretty hilarious that Sony is taking shots by STILL not revealing their console's looks. Maybe they could have overshadowed the Microsoft event if they actually did, but instead they decided to…
FYI, Cut the Rope, Where's My Water, andFruit Ninja are all available on Android.
To be fair, a crossbow can shoot a wider variety of ammunition, so if you need a projectile that turns into a boxing glove, you use a crossbow or bow!
Look at the game design. The number of abilities you can have equipped at once has been reduced to coincide with the number of buttons on a console game pad. That's just one aspect, but by far the largest indicator.
The blemish is the fact that it's extremely clear that Blizzard built the PC version of D3 with the ultimate goal of porting it to consoles. Essentially, they created a dumbed down version of the traditional Diablo experience for the express purpose of making sure it would be easily ported to work with consoles and…
There's one downside to all this: Magic cards, she told me, aren't all that sturdy. Sweat separates the fronts from the backs, and by the end of the weekend, her ensemble won't be wearable. For now, though, it's awesome.
It's a really odd system. You're legally considered an adult and can technically be 100% independent, but they look at your parents' finances in order to determine if they should give you money.
So, I figure this is the best place to ask: Tropico 4 or Anno 2070?
So you skipped right over the past taking about being able to buy and read via web browser?
