I'm not sure what the answer to your question is, but I will tell you that Geniuses don't actually know anything, so I'd take what they say with a huge freaking pile of salt.

Not coming to an agreement would literally be political suicide. As of now, most people are clear that the Republicans are being difficult, and many hardcore Republicans are pissed at their party for their grandstanding and refusal to negotiate.
Even if we do go off the fiscal cliff, the effects don't actually go into effect for a few weeks at minimum, and the major ones take a couple months. As long as they make come to a basic agreement before then, we're fine.
Yeah, I agree. Nintendo is now the king of casual console gaming, and with casual games (Facebook gams, browser games, phone games) becoming so popular, Nintendo will do very well.
...namely, that the legal (tax) benefits of marriage are in place to encourage you to start a family and have kids, and gay people can't have kids (short of adoption).
Don't you know they DEFINE morality? If they say it's moral to protect child molesting priests, it is. If they say loving someone who happens to have the same genitals as you is immoral, then it is.
That theater has no showings in IMAX HFR. Sorry, but you didn't see it in 48fps. IMAX does not automatically mean it will be in 48fps. The title of the movie will show something like "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, HFR IMAX 3D".
All I have seen is a series of emotionally fueled knee jerk reactions since this occurred and that is no way to pass laws.
Basically. If you have a feel for how to navigate an FPS, then you can fairly quickly pick up how to navigate in another. In the same way, the muscle memory/reflexes you need to play a MOBA are all the same, and the things you're looking out for, and how to push lanes, attack and deny creeps, etc... are all the same.…
You make some very legitimate points, especially about how we'd have to leave it up to people's good will to make sure they register their weapons.
Did I say anything about a ban? Has anyone reasonable said anything about an outright ban of all guns? Stop arguing against a position that no one reasonable actually believes. The answer is regulation, and it will take both sides of the aisle to get to the right amount of regulation. Kind of hard to do that when one…
I have played both, and DOTA 2. I know how different they all are, but there are many similarities that carry over from one to the next. The basic mechanics are the same, and if you become an expert at HoN, you could play LoL and be decently OK, and the learning curve would not be as steep as if LoL were your first…
Yeah, and the match making rating is supposed to fix that issue. Yet, people game the MMR and keep their own artificially low so that they can play against nubs.
Again, missing my point. My point was that you could, "make," the argument.
I sucked hardcore at it when I started (although I play HoN, not LoL, they're pretty much the same). It took me a couple months of 2 friends coaching me constantly when we played, and being yelled at and sworn at when I dared venture into the game by noobish self, before I could play decently well.
It's likely that, if a person is already troubled and pre-disposed to violence, something like an overly violent game could very well push that person over the edge.
The problem comes in with Peter Jackson trying to make The Hobbit into LOTR. He used the same epic-feeling panning shots, the same slow motion silent action sequences, turned the Hobbit into a trilogy...
The abuse of alcohol causes far too much harm, it must be banned for public safety.
No one, not even the people in Cali, are trying to ban all guns. They're trying to ban semi-auto assault rifles with large magazines, and "control" the proliferation of other guns.
Exactly. The media, especially Fox, gleefully trots out anything negative with regards to video games.
