Hader has talked repeatedly in interviews about how Barry has gotten dumber every season (to the point where he started the final season literally calling Gene from prison to ask if he’d been tricked). In that spirit, “Oh, Wow!” are the funniest last words. I can’t stop laughing about it.
He was vastly overpaid because he was tangentially related to the family who owned the company. Tom is keeping him on because he’s basically his only friend, but he’s going to be paid a reasonable salary for the position now. Although, I would guess that he’ll probably get promoted quickly anyway, for obvious reasons.
He really is. One of the most underrated character actors alive. I’m actually rewatching Halt and Catch Fire right now. He gives the most beautiful performance in that show. I’m thinking of revisiting Carnivale afterward just to keep the Hussathon rolling.
These kids are gonna be in their mid-40's by their senior year.
“You find out what we make in the factory when you work in the factory!”
Am I crazy or was one of Javi’s drawings identical to one of Adam’s tattoos? I could’ve sworn that it’s the same design.
Yeah, this is truly bizarre, even within the new standards set by MAX. I thought that the entire point of making original streaming content was to draw viewers to the platform. Now, you’re not even going to be able to watch them on the damn platform? Which means that they will be functionally unavailable anywhere…
Yeah, I’ve been trying to corner Orson Scott Card at events for years. I want to encourage him to read his own goddamn books.
I wish you guys would write something about “Fired On Mars” on HBO MAX. It’s kind of great.
Yeah, it’s still pretty damn impressive. I suspect that those crazy workout regiments that they make them do to be in Marvel movies have actually been extremely helpful in preparing him for this. It’s grueling, repetitive, and painful, but to a certain degree it’s got to be just a much harder, higher climb of a fairly…

She would’ve been a great Misty. Also, this confirms my suspicions that this show casts exclusively from a pool of actors who I have long-term crushes on.
I rewatch it every year. It’s just so well plotted and consistently delivered. I never stop finding new things to notice or appreciate, no matter how many times I see it. Plus, it’s just a lot of fun. I’m really glad that season 3 of Picard has been such a success for Terry Matalas and seems to be driving more people…
This? Why, I can make a hat.. or a brooch.. or a pterodactyl!
Me, John, big tree!
I actually just finished rewatching “Dr Death”. He was so goddamn great it that. Everyone was. One of the best true crime miniseries I’ve ever seen. Maybe the best medical one. The whole cast was just phenomenal, and the writing and direction were incredibly engaging. I wish more people had seen it.
Man, that is a terrible title.
Sometimes I just like the cast of something so much that I’m gonna watch it no matter what the reviews say.
