No he will still stand trial. This just means he was consider to not be a flight risk or imminent danger to society and will voluntarily return to stand trial, instead of sitting in jail until the trial.

Please realize this was a bail hearing not the trial itself. All it means is that the Judge deemed him to not be a flight risk. He will stand trial and by all means I hope he is punished at that point. But we’ll have to wait and see.

I have a simple solution to the wallet and keys issue. When I walk in the door, I take my wallet and keys and toss them into a little basket on the counter next to the door. It’s been in the same place for 15 years and so have my wallet and keys.

Having dealt with my son playing youth hockey I can say this attitude of “that’s not how we did it when I was a kid” is the hardest battle quite often.

I’m so glad Youth Hockey in the US has mandated checking out of the game until the Bantam level (13-14 years). Yes contact still happens you don’t see 7-8 years olds trying to knock other players through the boards.

Generally, if the ball carrier has made it to the point where it’s up to the kicker to tackle them, the rest of the unit has screwed up badly. Most kickers, at best, are trying to force the ball out of bounds.
