This is an S52 swap away from perfection

In a lot of ways, Mini is like Andre from the league: it tries so hard to be edgy, cool, and “the next big thing”. But in reality, it comes off dorky, weird and unwanted. Someone needs to slap the MBAs at BMW who came up with this thing.

Sketchy details and a black interior ruin it for me. 50k doesn’t include the roughly 10k engine out service I assume this thing would need. Were I in the market, I would spend the extra 10-30k to get a newer 355 or even 360, as those sport vastly better chassis and engines. So ya, it’s a good deal - but it’s the wrong

Purely personal preference but for the price I would rather have a more beat up Land Cruiser or import a well sorted, upholstered example from Europe. It’s certainly a well restored vehicle, but needs a stern adjustment to market prices.

Sorry for the photos from Snapchat, but I took these a few months ago ar Bob Rohrman’s Lexus in Arlington Heights, IL. The dealer owner has had it since 2011 and its never been sold - just roped off on the dealer’s floor, AFAIK.

My only pet peeve with the W202 is the with the awkward looking tail lights. If they eliminated the top section to make them look more squinty ala the 190E, it would be a truly fine looking sedan.

Glad to know I’m not the only crazy one. I look forward to triggering Sergio in his sleep when I spend more than the purchase price to shove a gated manual into a 458.

I’ve honestly tried to stay quiet on all the Uber bashing here on Gawker, but here are my 2 cents: it’s impossible to build a $70 billion company that takes down a century-old industry without basically being a psychotic asshole. Kalanick was an asshole, but he got his company to grow and thrive. Uber needs a COO/CPO

How does one fishtail a front wheel drive car in dry weather?

The current administration’s lunacy knows no bounds. If they cut the EPA’s ability to test emissions impartially, we will either have to rely on clean power plants that are shared with Europe, or be at the mercy of dirtier emissions. One way or another, the long term costs of shuttering the Ann Arbor facility as much

Redundancy aside, I always felt that this generation 6 series was an exceedingly “meh” car. With the 2 series taking the place of the 3 series coupe, and the 4 series growing obese, it had little to no place in the lineup. Hopefully, the 8 series returns to a legacy of good looking 2 door BMW grand tourers.

Badass car, so jealous. Enjoy it!

incompetency* fucking iPhone autocorrect

Honestly this is probably the scariest thing about government. The disconnect between the people who create regulations and those who create technology might as well be centuries apart. Frankly, I don’t any suggestions or anything. I’m just flabbergasted at the general level of imcoptencey of our lawmakers.

Thank you for Another71! Just added to my bookmarks to replace r/accounting. I’ll be starting out at a B4 in Chicago, but I’m hoping to go into banking or consulting later on. That’s thing I like about Becker as well - it seems tougher than the exam, which builds up confidence going in. Tax always sounds like a good

Thanks poverty sucks! I am taking FAR - just got my Becker stuff this week. And I completely agree - this goes far beyond the realms of being an accountant to being a good human being. Are you in public or private?

Speculating for sure. I’d be surprised if it was mechanical.

Yearly testing for senior citizens and affordable mass transit. Until then, stories like this one will be all too common.

Harrowing read as I sit for the first exam of my CPA in 2 months. I want to express sympathy for Terrance, but I just can’t. Someone in his position should have been able to logically weigh the costs of theft. the guy earned enough to have a few BMWs. There was no reason to steal so much. So sad. So strange.
