He was the cover model on Lana Del Rey’s last album. I think she’s canceled (haven’t been paying close attention) but the album was incredible!

I’m really turned off by Jezebel’s insistence (now and when they announced the pregnancy) on making the story all about Zayn. It’s really strange erasure of a woman (one who is arguably more famous and successful than the man in question), and in a story about pregnancy/childbirth no less!
But according to a 2019 report by the National Low Income Housing Coalition, 49 percent of whites are living in Section 8 housing and 32% are living in public housing. Read more
Agreed. I read Jezebel much less since Joan Summers became a writer, and I think I’m done for good now. As you said, that comment both belittles a very successful, talented woman and makes light of her beloved husband’s tragic death. Nothing about it is funny or clever.
My top 5 would be Cruel Summer, Paper Rings, Cornelia Street, It’s Nice to Have a Friend and Afterglow. Read more
I love these new female PA reps and really enjoyed this interview! I still don’t know what an Overton Window is though. (Yes, I know I can Google it, but an explanation would have been nice!)
The best snow day meal is French toast, because everyone ran out and got milk, eggs and bread before the storm, so everyone can make it!
You forgot to mention his most important work, which is inspiring multiple very good Taylor Swift songs #AllTooWell
Thank you for the explanation! So is the article’s assertion that “Louis is a direct descendant via the all-important male line of Louis XIV” incorrect then?
Why would someone who is descended from Louis XIV’s brother have a stronger claim than someone who is directly descended from Louis XIV himself? Is there some illegitimacy in there somewhere that’s making his claim weak?
I have been considering going here to celebrate my 30th birthday. Now I’m sold!
I just realized that the girl dressed up as Cinderella at Taylor Swift’s party is Iris Apatow, Judd Apatow’s younger daughter (the one who not so long ago looked about 3 years old and declared “I love breakfast!” in “Knocked Up”) and I am SHOOK.
My anecdotal response to you is that the only people I know who say that are from New York or New Jersey.
In the piece, Donegan says she lost her job over this. I think she writes for a number of publications, but I wonder if she means the New Yorker, which she has previously written for, fired her? And if so, I wonder if they’d comment on why they fired her.
That’s OK! Not everyone has to like the same things!
I bought the PetSafe Ssscat Cat Spray Control System on Amazon. It sprays air at the cat if she gets too close to the door. It works wonders! Would highly recommend.
Your comment has a lot of weird aggression in it, but I do agree that it is confusing when an article is going back and forth between talking about individuals and groups but having to use plural pronouns the whole time.

The Reading Eagle interviewed the birth mother, from whom Grace was taken when she was 3. It’s a very depressing read: http://www.readingeagle.com/news/article/for-grace-packers-birth-parents-their-daughters-killing-evokes-grief-and-anger
It’s weird that the giant image with this post is of Obama in front of a Japanese flag...
