Eric Rovie teaches high school English in suburban Atlanta. He is NOT that guy that Matthew Perry played in that inspiring teacher movie. Nor is he Robin Williams in Dead Poets Society, although he did once spend a whole class explaining why carpe diem is not equivalent to YOLO. In his previous existence, he was an academic philosopher and he might have edited a book and published a few articles. Originally from the Twin Cities, he worships at the altar of The Replacements, Hüsker Dü, and The Hold Steady, as any good son of the Twin Cities should. He re-reads The Catcher in the Rye at least once a year, but he has never tried to assassinate anyone.
