They're definitely going with same style of exaggerated sexual dimorphism that WoW has. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sexual_di…)

The Vanquish does come very, very close, I'll grant you that. And for anyone who regards assembling a computer as more of a chore than a hobby, the minor price difference is almost certainly worth it.
The way I see it, Digital Storm are just taking advantage of the "Steam Machine" hype. They'd probably been working on this particular chassis for some time now as a little brother to their god-mode Aventum II, and decided that they might as well add SteamOS to snag some extra publicity and customers.
It reminds me of the old approach to domestic violence. The old old approach was that a man had every right to beat his wife. The old approach swapped that for "a man has no right to beat his wife, but we as a society have no right to intrude into relations between the two of them, even if the wife is asking us to."
There's a piece on this over at Slate, too, and one of the first comments was this:
Sure, Doom was impressive back in the day. For about a year or so.
Doubtful. Australia has a single payer system with universal coverage. It's hard for quacks to charge ungodly prices when establishment medicine is so cheap* to the end consumer.
"Nice"? When you're spotting profanity at straw(wo)men? If you value "niceness" as part of your self-image, then I think you should be apologizing for the venom in your post. Additionally, you should probably make more of an effort to understand the views of those to whom you are so strongly objecting.
Actually, I'm male, so I get 100% of the credit for my contribution, plus the majority of the credit for any contribution made by a woman earlier in the conversation who contributed to my encapsulation.
I may be reading this wrong, but you appear to be denigrating Nelson Mandela's achievements on a comments thread to an announcement of his death.
My explanation:
From what I've been reading, 2-3 GTX 780/R9 290 level GPUs will actually pump out sufficient power for high-detail 4K gaming - if the game in question is lightweight enough or sufficiently well-optimized for SLI/Crossfire. It's still well out of a normal person's price range, but 4K gaming is getting pretty close to…
The Macbook Pros have always had decent gaming chops, but let's not kid ourselves - they're too heavy on CPU and light on GPU to be cost-effective for gaming.
Potter Stewart?
Eh... I'm not saying that gaming doesn't have its fair of sexists, but repulsive misogyny and death threats are pretty common in all parts of the internet when a woman expresses an opinion. It's a bloody pandemic.
Well said. I too would have preferred a more Amazonian casting choice, but seemingly poor casting choices can prove surprisingly effective.
It does seem like a superb opportunity for cross-marketing. Design a set of core characters, use the game engine as the animation rig, set it up as a Saturday morning cartoon...
I saw that movie! Total Hunger Games rip-off.
It's not from personal experience, but here's my favorite gaming-while-XX story:
