She needed to put everyone through the trial to get Una to actually say what Neera wanted her to say, and soften the judges in the process. That needed to happen.

Supposedly Pike was a very good test pilot and gave a speech while he was one (that’s before he was assigned to a ship, timeline-wise), so that makes sense in context.

Anson Mount had a child when they were starting to film the season so they accomodated the storyline to fit his needs.

Both should, considering their international reach and expansion into children’s shows.

Ten years from now, after another change of leadership at WB, the director is gonna go “well, actually” and get a bunch of cash for his director’s cut.

It’s not Foundation. But it is good sci-fi.

Planetary needs to be a short HBO series. But it’s so intrinsically connected to comics that it’s hard to imagine not losing a LOT of what makes it awesome by transplanting it to another medium.

The big problem is that those channels aren’t available internationally which prevents that market from seeing it. A lot of what’s available on Max in the US is not available elsewhere. And all the content in Peacock is region-locked by default.

Potentially different in Europe than in LatAm, but here, we have two separate apps. Interesting.

Wonder how that will work in international markets, where ESPN + Hulu + FX content is all within the Star+ app, whereas Disney+ remains separate. Disney charges you separately for both, but gives you a Combo+ deal to get both. If everything is within one app... how can you differentiate?

The OG was a Constitution - which was top-of-the-line for Starfleet at the time but was not the flagship or the most advanced out of the ten or twelve Connies out there.

I assumed the picture was taken after the events of Picard Season 3 but before the year-long time jump. Why else would they choose a picture of Picard wearing a tux and Crusher wearing a dress (which I think was from an event) instead of a normal picture of them both or of the three of them? I think the implication

1) It’s arguably the most well-known Flash comic story.

I hate the meta obsession they have with the engagephrase.
