That number is a recent change. It wasn’t that long ago it was only $600K. If they repeal Trump’s tax change it will go back to like $5M which isn’t that hard of a number to reach for a farm that is a few hundred acres in size. You are correct they will not get that much money, but the

I guess the farmers that have to give up the family farm that has been in the family for generations because of estate tax, they should feel at ease because it was for a good cause.

Except, that article doesn’t seem to go into the biggest reason these taxes have not worked in other countries, rich people just move out of the country. When 80% of our tax income comes from the top 10%, it can cause issues if they leave in bulk.

I ordered some food when I was home sick one day. When the guy delivered it, the drink already had the straw in it. There was no wrapper covering it or anything, just the straw. I ended up pouring it out.

They say back in the day of silent films Hollywood could not afford to buy cars to wreck for movies. When they needed a video of an accident, they would just grease up a city street, set up their cameras and wait for an accident to occur.

Do you eat ‘hamburger sandwiches’ too?

I remember we asked my calculus teacher if we should cancel class on 9/11. He was like, ‘The World Trade Center? What is that? Where they keep the UN? It is not important.’ The next day, he entered class with his head held low and just said, ‘Well yesterday....some things were said....I think we should move on.’

Just like a Prius would work for 99% of people’s daily driver. Anything else is overkill. Driving anything else is just wasteful.

Boomers count people born up to 1965, so he is only a few years out.

Counterpoint, your so close in age to being a boomer it makes the rest of the argument hard to follow.

Everything

I was going to say something similar. You could not make it far in Boston if you can only mark 1,000 potholes.

I really don’t think people realize what would happen in the US if they got rid of the big companies, expanded the corporate tax (already the highest in the world) and taxed the to earners at much more than the 43% currently. The big companies will leave and the rich people will leave, along with 80% of our current

Your argument was they are wrong by default if they are rich. I said all of congress are millionaires or billionaires. But they are not all bad? At what level does that occur? Because you are rich to many people in the world. Have you opened up your home to any the thousands of unaccompanied minors in camps because

I would gladly attack amazon, if they were doing something abnormal/wrong. Here you are blaming them for essentially doing what every other business does during holiday rushes. In fact, your arguments seem to have nothing to do with the strike or article, other than ‘amazon bad.’ The strike has nothing to do with

At this point, the company Twitter either wised up or..

I was referring to your response to 6Stringtheory. They quoted you about the labor being work 200-550% more on that one day. You responded precisely and it is not hard to increase the pay. It doesn’t seem to leave a lot of room for interpretation.

Your argument is that someone is wrong because they are rich? At what level does this take effect? Because Obama, Sanders, Biden and Warren (really almost everyone in congress, and the ones that aren’t will get there in a few years) are all millionaires. Are they automatically wrong in everything they say?

They do hire more people for these times. They literally cannot fill all the prime day orders without hiring more people.

And your point is??? I am talking about profit. Revenue-expenses. Most businesses don’t make enough money to pay their employees every day of the week. A lot of time restaurants or bars only make money Friday and Saturday. Department stores don’t make money, for the whole year, until the holiday shopping season. They
