I agree with everything in the list, with the exception of Alan Tudyk, as he is really a 50/50 split. He has almost as many voice work jobs in his IMDB, as he does live acting jobs.

I agree with everything you've said here. Absolutely. A celebrity delivering a bad performance isn't a reason not to hire celebrities for voice work. It's a reason to do a better job with casting in general.
I think it is perfect that Ronny Cox has such disdain for Voight that he left it at just those 4 words.
“Jon Voight’s an idiot.”
Beverly Hills Cop was the first thing I saw him in, so he imprinted as a tough, no-nonsense (but fundamentally decent) authority figure, followed by his evil CEO in RoboCop and the extremely evil CEO in Total Recall (not to mention his hardass Starfleet captain in TNG). The idea that he had a reputation for playing…
I mean, it’s not a huge secret.
“Jon Voight’s an idiot.” Haha, preach!
Agreed! Gotta say, I was a little bummed that The Suicide Squad movie didn’t borrow from Harley Quinn’s version of King Shark.
You remember otherwise, but you peed your pants that day.
Not a robot
Zaslav has shown that he doesn’t care about whether a show is genuinely successful or not. Most of the scripted programming TBS and TNT have made the past few years has been well received and/or successful, but they’re getting canned anyway. The Cube was a pretty decent hit for TBS but Season 2 is MIA.
Pretty sure John Oliver is safe only because he’s on HBO proper
This is a legit surprise, given that the show isn’t expensive and all.
“Rainn Wilson as Dr. Demento” - ok, that’s pretty inspired casting
It’s great that this is premiering on Roku, the streaming equivalent of UHF.
The shows been on the air for 5 years, and I still don’t know 50% of the bridge crew’s names.... or even what their job function is.
The show’s obsession with making everything gravitate around one character, to the detriment of all the others is, I think, an even worse crime than the ludicrously drawn out season long…
Sybok.
I am one of the weirdos that likes ST5. I saw it in my church youth group as an example of being able to Question God’s plan but it also helped me come to the conclusion that I am an atheist, “What does God need with a starship?” I also found the idea of a Vulcan charismatic preacher villain to be interesting but it…
If you’re wondering how he eats and breathes. And other science facts,
If the Sybok future involves bringing back Aspen/Angel as a recurring antagonist, I’m all for it.
I don’t mind all this fun Spock material but I hope they don’t leave the other characters behind. We need some focus-episodes for Hemmer and Erica at some point!
