I think the only pandemic movie I might want to see is a comedy of errors about celebrities going totally stir crazy one week into quarantine and engaging in desperate schemes to get attention.

I don't understand why they are making a sequel to COVID 19. The first movie was pretty stupid. The plot was completely unbelievable.

You’re proving the point of the article.

Another standout was Corin Nemec (Parker Lewis Can’t Lose) as Molly Ringwald’s stalker/creepy wanna-be-boyfriend. That scene where Molly is sewing up her dad before burying him is heartbreaking.

I was in high school when the miniseries came out and I was obsessed with it. It also has major, major issues that make it hard to rewatch. A mixed bag to be sure.

It still has a lot of cornball moments and characters—Shawnee Smith’s Julie Lowry was way too grating, and Corin Nemec’s Harold Lauder

Right. Because it’s not like anyone’s invented screen capture or external cameras yet.  :eye roll:

Farmers from rural Bolivia aren’t to blame for any of your or my woes this year.  I’m not rooting for them to die.

I had asteroids once and couldn’t sit for a week!

I’d really like to see a head to head for the Air vs the Pro to substantiate that claim “On paper, the MacBook Pro might be the better buy”. That’s not to say I don’t believe you, but considering the underlying chipset is so similar, I wonder how much more performance is gained from the extra GPU core. And while more

Stephen King has a long history of Magical Negros, in fact he’s maybe the biggest practitioner of the trope. In addition to Mother Abigail you’ve got Dick Halloran in the Shining and John Coffey in the Green Mile. There’s probably others as well. They’re distinguished as supporting characters with magical or unusual

could only ever get halfway through the book, and then it became extremely preachy - ‘Maybe it’s everyone’s fault for not finding time for JESUS, HMM?’

Is that an accurate take on the second half, after they find the ‘magical n*gro’ stereotype woman?

King has always been good at character, setting and plot. But has a hard time sticking the landing on endings.

M-O-O-N...that spells Money.
