Slow car slow, Brazilian edition

Just watched that. Even in 89 and with a new DOHC V6 the Camry was considered boring. Some things never change

I’m always say that Americans are spoiled by cheap power. While y’all thinks that a Corolla is slow, the rest of the world considers it as the average. The Honda Fit sold there have the more peppy 1.5 engine, I own a first gen Fit with a 1.3 engine with 80 hp and a CVT transmission to complete the suffering. For

Seriously? Here in Brazil have some independent importers who mostly brings pickup trucks, SUV, Corvette and Dodge Challenger. And they buy these cars from US dealers, most of the advertisements are with pictures from the car in a American dealership.

Dear Mercedes, can you test if is possible to do this with a japanese kei van? Brazilians do all the time with the a Korean equivalent, the Asia Towner, and we don’t know if this only happens on the Towner or this feature is shared by all kei vans. And please take care.

After watch the Chris Evans hot mess I gave more value to the SIARPC made by Jeremy Clarkson, he makes even the interviews with celebrities that I don’t know interesting.

Years ago had Top Gear on Brazilian Netflix and I think it was this version without the news. I was pondering on delete my extensive archive of Top Gear downloaded from FinalGear but I can’t watch Top Gear without the news

Does the Top Gear avaible on streaming still misses about 15 minutes of each episode? I don't remember if they cut the news or the star in a reasonably priced car

If he means the 993 Carrera RS with “mid 90s 911 GT3", the prices for this car is absolute bonkers. From $280,000 to $715,000. I don’t think this is at the same range as a NSX

This bit is pure gold

Are you trying to convince me to trade my Honda for an old Jeep?

Because Jeremy Clarkson and James May exists and both are vandals

I’m civilised, I always back into spots. That is how I learned with my father when he taught me how to drive and have no issues. And it is safer when you have to get out the spot, you have more visibility.

The Golf GTE had a cool concept. It has a 1.4 turbo engine with 148 hp and a 99 hp electric motor, the combined power was 202 hp. On paper was one second slower than the GTI on the 0-62 mph acceleration, but in exchange you had that great hybrid fuel economy.

A modern wagon with the tow tech from new trucks sounds like a great idea. Europeans tow with regular cars all the time, a modern six cylinder E-Class wagon (with diesel or petrol) have a 4,630 lb tow rating as a reference.

The horn on the stalk is from before the airbags. This was common in European cars until the early 1990's, specially on french cars. I recall my grandma’s 1994 Fiat Uno had the horn on the turn signal stalk. On the 1990' they started to standardise some controls like the horn.

With the Fit you can have a small car that is fun to drive and use as a cargo van. Or a shaggy wagon. Yes, the Fit never looked good, but it compensates in other areas. This City hatch brings nothing interesting to the table besides the Honda reliability

The City is fancier (for it’s class) than a Nissan Versa, I won’t call it a “poverty spec”

Right now I hate this City hatchback because Honda will make this car in Brazil to replace the Fit. And I’m one of the weirdos who loves the Honda Fit, I even have one. It is sad that we will lose a practical and clever car to have instead a boring cramped hatchback

Now he is saying that SAE is wrong, you don’t need to take a bullet for daddy Elon this time
