At least Trump doesn’t openly want to turn us into some weird Christian theocracy. I have zero doubt that if Pence and others like him had their way, they’d implement Iran’s government here, only they’d replace “Muhammad” with “Jesus”. They would also keep the Sharia Law that they claim to be against, but they’d

I understand the logic of the call against Hilton, tbh. The in-game angles that night weren’t totally conclusive, granted, but the coaches’ film kind of shows that he tried to set a pick farther than one yard beyond the line of scrimmage, which is against the rules. He’s lined up at the bottom here, and while he

Nevils (an others) was probably paid hush money preventing her from suing. Can’t really make criminal case out of this because it happened in Russia, and things would be hard to prosecute because ultimately it will be a lot of he said, she said.

Patriots remaining schedule by offensive DVOA rank:

Screens, designed runs for Jones, underneath routes, more than 11 rush attempts, draws, bootlegs... basically anything other than throw 15 yards downfield to Slayton

I got a kick out of Brady carefully placing the ball on the field after the kneel, laughing even harder after I read that it was apparently because Brady doesn’t want any negative yardage on his rushing stat.

Meredith Viera is awesome.

He’s straight up garbage. He is the worst and it’d be great if people could get get on the right side of history and call him a monster. It’d be a first time but he’s also the fucking worst.

Go Meredith go!

During today’s Houston Rockets media availability, a team representative inappropriately interjected to prevent CNN’s Christina Macfarlane from receiving an answer to her question. We’ve apologized to Ms. Macfarlane as this was inconsistent with how the NBA conducts media events.

Frankly, I thought it was pretty strong for a multinational corporate apology, especially to a member of the press. It’s not an issue in this context, but PR people are trained that anything stronger (like “wrongly”) could be construed as an admission of fault or liability.

Macfarlane is reportedly so disillusioned over the incident she has decided to retire from journalism. She will stay in Japan, dye her hair blonde and make a living selling bags of her urine to Japanese businessmen.

With that reporter, I’ve never seen Harden and Westbrook so willing to pass.

Addressing another nation or region’s politics from from the safety of one’s own home, laws, and cultural expectations was what started this whole thing in the first place.

Strange seeing Harden’s shy away from geopolitical questions. After all, he has traveled all around the world!

Florida is owed a lot of apologies then.

My god, this general boot-licking, ass-kissing behavior of the NBA is astonishing.

I first thought the headline said "Roberta Flack" which would have been some real news.

The NBA says “inappropriately.” I say this feels rather calculated. The Rockets block the question, the NBA gets to say it was done incorrectly and apologize. However, the end result is the same: the question is never answered and one of the NBA’s biggest stars gets to avoid navigating the geopolitical minefield, thus

Trump is counting on that no one wants Pence.  It’s why he picked him as a running mate.
