but we never SAW anything much - there's the greenhouse scene, the kiss in To the Last Man, and the kiss at the beginning of Children of Earth. Everything but the greenhouse scene they're both fully dressed. Jack gets ONE sex scene in the whole 3 series, and nothing more than a kiss here and there with anyone but

I did say "except for" LOL!

@Palmerlime: Sadly, Jack has been all talk and pretty much no action onscreen for his entire run on Who/Torchwood. Except for the greenhouse scene, he's had nothing but a few chaste kisses and a lot of flirting. I hope he gets to live up to his reputation soon.

@BabyRaducan: That's so sad - in my experience if they'd been a lesbian couple instead of a gay couple, they'd have been matched with a baby, and it wouldn't have taken a year.

@MissContrarian: So, for FEAR OF TEASING we should leave thousands of kids in foster care ? You seem to be unaware of the research that shows that kids do just fine with gay or lesbian parents, there is no intrinsic benefit to having heterosexual parents. Kids need love and stability, and it really doesn't matter

Are you seriously arguing that children should stay in foster care unless they can be placed in "ideal" conditions? There are tens of thousands of children in the US waiting for adoption, why shouldn't we open up the process to all possible families for them, not just these mythical "ideal" families of yours? There

I live in the Northwest, I know about rain - good waterproofing spray is a must. And watch the sales - I got a wonderful deep-red London Fog raincoat, enough colour to brighten up a grey day without looking kiddy, paisley-lined, marked down from $185 to $57.50.

Good shoes! after 20-some years, good shoes come first. Ballet flats are just not enough. Clarks, Naots, save up and spend the money, it's worth it. Otherwise - comfortable, neutral basics, keep the style and the colour for jewelry and jackets or cardigans. I buy a new jacket or two every year, wear interesting

@lollilove: Well, they do make exceptions for blondes like Deneuve, and I wouldn't call Vanessa Paradis a brunette either. Lively just seems too "American-looking" for Chanel, if that makes any sense , tall and blond and athletic

@Rooo sez BISH PLZ: She doesn't need the money, she made millions from HP. I teach university, and I know how few of those kids who "take time off" to work or travel ever, ever come back and finish. If she was taking a break in order to do something a little more socially or artistically aware than advertising

for this she dropped out of Brown?

@Rooo sez BISH PLZ: well, there is a theme here — Alan Rickman equals Christmas movie

Let's not forget that Dior himself, and Chanel, made clothes FOR Nazis, to say nothing of Hugo Boss their uniform designer. The fashion industry doesn't exactly have clean hands here.

the outfit's nice and childlike - but the purse seems way too grownup. At that age, either of my girls would've wanted a purse with Hello Kitty on it, or one that looked like a stuffed animal. Not one that I could give to their grandmother for her birthday.

Can't say I love all of it - that last dress is pretty fug. But the orange coat! the black and white swirl-print jacket! the green and black geometric-print dress! are all great things

@Rare Affinity: if you're looking at the ca.jezebel version of the site, you need to delete the /gallery at the end of the URL to see the graphics

Faye Dunaway called, she'd like her clothes back please.

THESE are the plus-sized models? Shows how much fashion has changed - I remember Cybill Shepherd in her modelling days, and she'd have fit right in here.

You're having to get your Nuxe products brought over from France? Seriously, Gwennie? I get mine at my local Rexall in Canada. Nice stuff, I agree.

@callmecate: Yeah, he's a search and rescue helicopter pilot based in Wales. The princes really aren't allowed combat roles in the military, so this is about as active service as he can get.
