My fave King book, but it needs the HBO treatment, not a movie.
Oh, I know, and I know a lot of folks who worked on those series who agree.
There is a new adaptation coming in the near future.
That’s not saying much.
I remember LOOOOOVING The Stand, but I rented the (FOUR!) VHS tapes right after I finished reading the book (two on one night, and then the second two when I realized that somehow there was a “movie” that was so big that I didn’t rent all the required tapes.
All those TV movies/miniseries from the ‘90s are godawful. Especially The Shining.
DC: Quit making your characters assholes and they’ll be more cinematic.
I’m just really disappointed this trilogy narrative wasn’t mapped out ahead of time in any way.
Other than Kylo’s possible redemption and Leia’s death I haven’t heard many speculations. At all. It bums me out, the fandom was so lively after TFA and now it’s fizzled.
It’s not really his fault. It’s Rian Johnson’s.
Agreed. Not having a plan is a bad plan. Just ask Battlestar Galactica fans.
I wish I had the confidence in JJ to salvage this trilogy, but I don’t believe that he has the writing chops to put this cloven corpse back together and make it come alive again.
I don’t even know wtf I’m supposed to be looking forward to with 9.
For real. I wasn’t a huge fan of 7, it had it’s problems, but it still left me questioning a lot of stuff and looking forward to 8. Then 8 comes along and is pretty much like “yea....none of that shit matters, move along” and I don’t even know wtf I’m supposed to be looking forward to with 9. It’s kinda a mess.
I’m not an Abrams hater either, but if Episode 9 is 2.5 hours of fixing and justifying Episode 8 then I’m out.
More likely they are trying to capitalize on the success of American Horror Story and Channel Zero, with a property they already own.
Headcanon for me is that Alicia Vikander is still playing the robot from Ex Machina and it’s just assumed the personal of Lara Croft...
Firing the cooks but not the supervisor sounds all sorts of fucked up. And, here’s the thing, ribs, greens, mac and cheese, washed down with some red drank is good eatin’. Watermelon water’s pretty good, but that’s more of a summer thing for me. My biggest question is, was there cornbread, and if there was, did they…
That company is terrible.
No...but you do realize the person who filed the complaint at NYU is black—don’t you?
Aramark, man. I worked for them in college. It doesn’t surprise me that no one had any idea what was going on, and then had a poor reaction to being called on it.
