There is no force on Earth more powerful than gravity

Winter has all the sports where, if you just quit playing, gravity just takes over. There’s no “I am done with Skeleton now and would like to get off the ride.”

So your theory is that she’s XX, but she has testicles, has all the earmarks of an XY woman, and was treated in 2009 in a manner consistent with other XY women. And you got that all from an article that didn’t even tell you she had testicles.

Shhh. You’re acknowledging complexity and the possibility that the best solutions may be frustratingly imperfect. You’re ruining a perfectly good Hot Take!

Caster Semenya is not XX. She has a Y chromosome and undescended testicles that are pumping out testosterone. That’s the whole fucking point of the debate, yet it appears nowhere in this article.

This is a complicated and fraught topic, one that deserves a more thoughtful take than the one offered by Ms. Moskovitz. This is not about some cruel effort by men to define and control women’s bodies, as she glibly asserts. It’s about trying to create an environment where women have a chance to compete and succeed,

If we are going to hold two separate events for men and women, then we have to have some distinct dividing line between who is “a man” and who is “a woman.” It may not be fair to everyone, but you do have to draw a line somewhere.

Nope you’re right. On second thought, letting US athletes fall victim to the ceaseless institutionalized corruption in Rio and Brazil is a desirable outcome. My apologies!

Phew, for a second there I thought the Brazilian police might be corrupt.

I’m glad that Lochte and Feigen(apparently) are back on US soil. None of us know what really happened obviously but regardless, nothing good comes of two US Olympic athletes being ushered through the cesspool of corruption (and literal cesspool) that is Rio and its criminal justice system.

It’s not fairly recent either. They’ve been doing articles like this for years. Maybe you should acquire the ability to read and look into it, you utter fucking moron.

This isn’t “new Kotaku.” They’ve published “The Internet Reacts To: X” articles before, often in the same format as this one.

Also not “new”: Prescriptivist commenters demanding change to suit their personal tastes, whilst wholly ignoring the fact that no one forced them to click on the article that so injured them in

Being an MGS Fan these days: That’s it, Konami! More! Hurt me... more!

“I don’t understand why games need to be improved and want them to look the same year after year.”

BTW, you’re still playing a game. And the mods are that. A mod. It’s optional. Stop crying.

I don’t want to watch a movie, but I’d sure like to play a game that looks like one. A science-fiction or fantasy setting that looks real? With world-building and attention to detail to match? Yes please.

With a lot of games, I agree with you. But with a game like GTA5, that aimed to represent a real-life city, it’s pretty awesome.

Oh. You’re one of those people.

I’m really torn as who to hate more here: The idiot neighbors who are overacting with thier bullshit stories about “trembling” and won’t leave the guy with the trailer alone.

The camera left you... trembling? That line alone put me on the side of the guy with the trailer.

Sounds like my neighborhood regarding our travel trailer. Everyone gets bent out of shape when we have it parked to load/unload for more than a couple hours. Hey, city says I have 48 hours to move it - when I get heckled, I take every bit of that 48 hours to move it to spite them.
