My school ID cards have a magstrip and get swiped everytime they're used, they're authenticated against a server somewhere. All of the external doors of all the buildings require you to swipe your card too. Makes using the card after I've graduated kinda difficult.

This is all good, but I'm looking for an article on Twitter for beginners, aimed at like my grandmother. Something that addresses things like "What is Twitter, how does it work, why use it at all" - If I could find that, it would be great, because I'm not good at explaining these kinds of things.
